Benjamin Odell and Thomas Platt are tucked snugly into the New York Political Harmony Bed by President Roosevelt. 

The caption reads "The New York Boys Are at Last in Harmony." 

Roosevelt had managed to bring the two New York senators into accord with each other, and they had agreed to support him for President in 1904.

The New York Machine Seems To Have Run Into Something

January 3, 1906

Edwin A. Merritt and Benjamin Odell crashed the New York Republican Machine into President Roosevelt and James W Wadsworth Jr's huge Anti-Bossism snowball.

Merritt and Wadsworth were both running for Speaker of the New York Assembly. Merritt represented the political machine, and Wadsworth was endorsed by Roosevelt. Wadsworth easily won the vote.

A Clean Sweep

December 26, 1905

George McClellan, for New York City Politics, and President Roosevelt, for New York Republican State Politics, sweep Charles Murphy and Benjamin Odell respectively out onto the street with brooms of Political Reform.

The caption reads "It looks like both sides of the street were getting busy in the political housecleaning."

Murphy and Odell were the bosses of Tammany Hall and the state Republican Party, and were in the process of being removed from power by reformers.

President Roosevelt and New York carry New York Bossism, represented by Benjamin Odell, along on the Big Stick.

The caption reads "The Boss - ‘Say, you're splitting the party.’"

Roosevelt had spoken against the New York Republican political bosses, and was advocating for his own candidate for Speaker of the State assembly.
