“Alright well that was ominous and disconcerting.” @benji-fields
Sacha snorted as she giggled, trying her best to stifle it because the scene was still playing out in front of them. It was awkward, no doubt, the class standing at the barre as they’d been working on pliés as part of their warm up when suddenly a mother stormed in with a slam of the door and headed straight up to their teacher. She’d started yelling and jabbing her finger, furious because her dear darling daughter Emily appeared to have failed her recent ballet exam and that “just wasn’t good enough”. She’d ended with a strange veiled threat that the grade should change or there’d be hell to pay.
That’s when Benji made his comment and made Sacha laugh.
Sacha glanced over at Benji with a half suppressed smile, trying desperately hard not to just burst out laughing as their teacher tried to explain that the exam was moderated by an independent examiner and she had no control over the grades that were given.
“I feel like I just stepped into an episode of Dance Moms.”
