Here it is, my FAVORITE Little Free Library!
Today was my first free day in a long time that I didn’t have any meetings / programs / doctor appointments AND the weather was nice enough that I could enjoy the great outdoors for a while. I literally don’t remember the last time that happened.
So I celebrated the occasion by visiting Bennett Park in Washington Heights, which happens to contain my favorite Little Free Library. Even though it’s a pretty small park, it also contains a bunch of interesting stuff.
This park is on the site of Fort Washington (one of George Washington’s many local forts), so it contains a bunch of historic plaques, a cannon, the highest natural point on Manhattan, and stone outlines marking where the fort used to be!
If you're visiting Washington Heights, it's definitely worth seeking out this little park. And say hi to my favorite library when you're there!
