slow as molasses rewatch, 1.09 bent bird
This is a GREAT episode. Karen and Wayne's discussion is everything. The Karen scenes before that are heartbreaking. Her buying Shane his last outfit? Danny bringing that little car back to Shane's room? (Ew, let's not think ahead - I still can't grasp how Karen can ever see Danny like _that_ after knowing him so well when he was a little boy.) Molly being saved is somewhat needing of suspension of disbelief but hey, it's all good. I appreciate Margo making the rational choice (the needs of the many outweighed the needs of the one) and the rift it opens up between her and the astronauts in MOCR.
Ed takes his pain out on that poor cosmonaut. But the scene before that, when they meet up at Shackleton both with their visors down, is amazing. Octavio is not only an illegal immigrant but suspected of spying for the Soviets? I do understand why they wouldn't want him taking any printed material out of the building.
