Pokemon Card of the Day #2286: Bent Spoon (Fates Collide)

Bent Spoon was another Tool in a game filled with good options. This one, when attached to a Pokemon, prevented all effects of the opponent’s attacks, except damage, done to the Pokemon it was attached to. The format wasn’t too focused on extra effects hitting the Active Pokemon, which the biggest effects tending to target the opponent or their hand instead. This, along with the availability of things like Float Stone, Choice Band, and Fighting Fury Belt, meant that you’d almost never include this in a deck. It was simply useful in far fewer situations due to the way the game was played at the time.
