talking about my cat again under the cut

her health took a drastic turn for the worse on saturday. she threw up a bunch and stopped eating and drinking and was clearly uncomfortable. we took her to an urgent care vet and they gave her anti-nausea meds and an appetite enhancer. after a day of that she still wouldn't eat or drink and she was really lethargic so we took her to an emergency vet. they did an ultrasound and I won't go into detail but the news was really bad. we decided to have them give her fluids to help her feel a bit better but they said based on her diagnoses and the fact that she's not eating they'd be surprised if she made it 2 more weeks. in the past few days she's eaten and drank a little here and there but has seemed really restless and is struggling to walk/stand. the vet has had me regularly dose her with gabapentin so she isnt uncomfortable. she hasnt been peeing as much and hasnt passed a stool since saturday night. I was fully ready to make the call last night and have her put down but then early this morning she started eating and drinking again. she's eaten well throughout the day and has been so cuddly and sweet. she's even grooming herself a little. its honestly been great to see her in good spirits but I also have no fucking clue what it means. i thought I understood the decline in her health and what my plan was going to be but I can't wrap my head around the fact that she's improved so much and I have no clue how long it will last. like are things going to get bad again tomorrow? will she stay this way for a while then slowly decline again? I feel absolutely lost right now and I hate the fucking uncertainty so much

got some bad news about my cat (who I've had since I was like 9) today when the vet called to follow up on some tests they ran. I dunno if this is going to make me hard to reach/unresponsive for a while or if I'll be 10000 times more active in an attempt to get my mind off things but I apologize in advance for either scenario
