I'm curious how spellskite and protection work with each other, specifically with giver of runes. Can I redirect a spell to spellskite and then give it protection from the color of that spell and have it be unaffected? If that doesn't work to counteract the spell, is there an order of operations that does?

That works correctly. 

You need to change the target first and then grant protection to Spellskite. This will cause the spell to not affect Spellskite (and to have no effect if it has no other targets).

Giving Spellskite protection before you try to change the target won’t work because the target won’t be able to change to Spellskite as it would be an illegal target.

Hey Maro, there's been a lot of discussion about snake vs Naga for tribal and flavor reasons, and I was wondering if widescale (heh) errata to make all snake people Naga is possible? It seems like the one thing that could make everyone happy.

After the aftermath of the Great Creature Type Update, we are a bit skittish about doing much mass creature type errata.

Um, excuse me? I romantically and sexually identify as a lesbian because I am in the market to date and bang exclusively women. My sexuality is my business and my business alone. No one else has the right to tell me who I am. 

I am not attracted to exclusively vaginas or I’d date trans men as well. If that were the care I would be bisexual.

Claiming that lesbians can be attracted to males is pretty explicitly trying to redefine a word that other people use to describe their own sexuality against their wishes. 

I’m not at all claiming that lesbians can be attracted to males. You, however, are claiming that women are defined by what’s in their pants. I describe my sexuality as lesbian because I’m not a dick who thinks that they have the right to go around telling people who they are and are not. You help no one and harm a lot of people who’ve done nothing to you by trying to insist that trans women are men. Who the fuck do you think you are to hurt them like that?

If you’re gonna be an asshole, at least have the courage to do more than just reply, dickweed.

I don't necessarily prefer one over the other, but I guess my favorite places are more quiet than they are chaotic. 

U - Has anyone you knew ever died? If so, who?

Lots of people I've known died. My Great Uncle Earle died, and he had built about half of the furniture in my house. Dickson died, but I can't really say I knew him as much as I spent months preparing to know him. My mother's cousin Jeanie died, but I only knew her as the woman who liked to sit by the picture window at family reunions. My Aunt Carol died.

C - If you had to choose between your best friend or your significant other dying, who would you choose?

Well best case scenario, they'll be the same person. I'd choose best friend now, mainly because I have not yet experienced what it is like to have a significant other and I cannot imagine how they could be more important than my friends are to me now. 

K - Would you ever kill someone? What would be a good reason?

No, and I cannot imagine a good reason. 

E - Have you ever cheated on somebody?

No, I have not.

D - Everyone has a few demons, what's your worst one?

Distrust.

26. An internal conflict I have with myself.

I really, really want to befriend certain people, but I physically can't bring myself to do it and it really sucks. 

41. Where I would most like to live.

Remaining in the US, I think it's be cool to live in either New York, Boston, Portland, or Seattle (the hipster cities). Outside the US, I have friends in Scotland and Denmark, so that'd be cool, I guess. Sweden is my favorite country though, by far. Although if I had my way, and enough money to execute it, I think I'd be borderline nomadic. There are too many beautiful places in this world to stay in one place for that long.

What would you die for?

That's a pretty heavy question.

Fundamentally, if my giving life meant the life of a person I either knew, trusted, respected, or believed could benefit society marginally more than I could would live, then I'd probably do everything I could to see them live on.

I can also see myself dying for a cause because I'm a romantic historian like that, but I don't know of any that exist right now that are important enough for me to do that. 

All in all, I find it very hard to postulate a plausible situation where that would happen. I mean, I'd give a kidney or part of my liver or something if someone needed it. Mainly, I want my life to mean something. I don't fear the act of dying, I just fear dying and never leaving a trace after I went. If my death meant that I would be remembered, even just by a select group of people, I'd probably do it.
