2 Thessalonians addresses people who act parasitically by taking from the church without making any contribution (2 Thes 3:6-13). Paul commands the Thessalonians not to be idle and reminds them of the example set forth by him and his fellow ministers (2 Thes 3:6-9). He then mentions a policy he had implemented when he was ministering in Thessalonica (2 Thes 3:10). Even in the present times, those unwilling to work and still feel entitled to a life, are being called, "parasites". Beware, for everyone of us has been given by God some talents for us to make a living. When we hide our talents and not make use of them, the Bible calls us, "wicked and lazy."
