NHK Taiga Drama : Unbound (2025) starring Yokohama Ryusei, Koshiba Fuka, Watanabe Ken, Fukuhara Haruka, Ichihara Hayato, Ayase Haruka, and many more.
It's about Tsutaya Juzaburo, the founder of Tsutaya publishing house in Edo (Tokyo), Japan, which produced illustrated books and ukiyo-e woodblock prints of many of Edo period's most famous artists like Katsushika Hokusai, known for his Kanagawa Wave painting. It will depict his life struggles, challenges and obstacles from young till adulthood, in a new era where the pen is mightier than the sword.

The casts look great, a lot of my favorite actors and actresses, but the show is only streaming on NHK Japan. There's a lot of underrated period dramas by NHK thus far, but none of them are available on global stream sites like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc, which is sad. After the success of Shogun, I wish NHK period dramas are made available to the world to enjoy.
