Introducing The Personal TdV Monday: Going through old photos on my PC I found pictures and videos etc. from old TdV events, where I was. So I wanted to share them with you as part of a series -The Personal TdV Monday- This is the first post in this series, I will see how much old things TdV related I will find in my archives.
The Open Door Day was an event I visited two times in 2012 and 2013. It was a special event you could enter for free. There were thousand of people. You could take pictures and videos there, what you are not allowed to do in the shows. There were various things you could watch, making of the show, rehearsals etc. This time I went through the backstage areas and saw some of the costumes. This is where most of the pictures are taken. I even got to wear one costume (yeah there is a photo of this, but I won’t share that, sorry).

But… is that not the point of the photos? It’s called ‘PERCEPTION OF POWER’. For me, it’s exactly the context that makes the text (read: BILD) so interesting. It has IMO the double layer; not like A LOT of other photos of/with BC who aim at a similiar audience.
Sorry, I don't see a double layer, I see a lovely BC with a fat red B!LD logo behind him, that will be reblogged a thousand times because of him being so hot and sexy. That's promotion for that shit paper, not subversive criticism. And I very much doubt he knew where they took him or what this paper stands for (at least I hope so). And now those pics are making the rounds again. I wrote something about them back last year, as I did now, for peeps not familiar with what this 'paper' stands for. Just so people know where this comes from. This thing just raises my hackles. But, of course, decide for yourself.

Berlin's Hauptbahnhof (Central Train Station) is a passenger's dream. A giant modern railway station/shopping mall which interacts and is easy to navigate. It is close to the German Reichstag and looms tall in the former East German sector of Berlin. Trains slip quietly in and out of the station with engineering precision.
Having spent years enduring the chaotic, eternally failing and vastly over priced British transport network, I can only say I was immensely impressed. At this station it is always a pleasure to arrive. Image composed using a Holga CFN toy camera. Copyrighted Image,2013.
