Scales and Arpeggios

Berlioz had made it through, count ‘em, three days of school.

Three days. Two more until the weekend. And then he’d have to do the whole thing again, and again, and again, and again-- why the hell had he volunteered to be a music teacher again? 

He wasn’t really sure why, and even less sure about the band rehearsals getting shoved on him too. Thankfully, that didn’t start proper until a few weeks. First, there were auditions and all. He was just in the band room gathering his things when the creaky hinges of the old door made him startle and look up.

It was....a student.

Dammit.

“Uh, hey-- hi,” said Berlioz. “Can I help you?”
