Last summer I made this for a library fundraiser/raffle. This week, I heard from the person who won the raffle, and who has fallen in love with this project. It was fun & fast, though not my personal taste. Glad it found a home.
I needed a little instant gratification this week, so I made a little bowl of our ever-increasing number of coasters. I double-stranded a quarter-skein of Bernat Blanket, and then just worked it in a spiral with an M-hook.
Worked 6-stitch increase every round until the base measured 8 inches, then just worked even until I ran out.
Using the M-hook is what gave it the tilt affect. It was too small, but it meant the base of the bowl had a little pointy bit that made it tilty. Be very nice to your wrists when doing this one.
