i just hate the entire concept of a rushed ship. like life isn’t your slowburn fanfic. I think Cheryl was DESPERATE for ANY sort of friend so her confiding in Toni isn’t something to be upset about. look how she opened up (-ish) to Veronica in 1.02? Or to Archie in 1.09? She just wants to express her emotions that are causing her so much pain.
