Cuphead finally trusting someone with the most vulnerable part of himself, allowing Sprout to see his innermost self. He expects to be ridiculed, pitied, maybe even shamed. But instead, Sprout gently takes his soul and holds it like it's made of glass. He cherishes it, holds it against his chest to that their two souls beat together. He makes Cuphead feel good, feel *loved*, caresses the other toon's soul, finds out what makes him cry out in pleasure.
The porcelain toon went into the experience scared, and ends the night cuddled in the berry's arms, his heart just that little bit lighter.
okay but soul play between these two would be so, so sweet. cmon, this is SPROUT. this isn't gonna be the soul play that it is most of the other time. the emphasis between them is the vulnerability cuphead is trusting him with, not the power in sprouts hands
sprout is taking this so seriously. that's cuphead's soul. but also like. there has to be a piece of him that feels so good watching cuphead fall apart when all he's doing is mess around with the little heart in his hands
i think it would initially be like a "here is all of me" thing and they accidentally stumbled into the soul play. sprout was probably like "shit i'm so sorry i'll never do that again i didn't mean to" but cuphead is just like "no wait let's not be hasty"
CUPHEAD is pulling the strings here don't get it twisted. like i've said in past sprout posts, i think his ass is just doing whatever makes his partner feels good, so if cuphead says "please do this" he'll happily do it. besides, i think it's still a fairly gentle affair. overwhelming (for both of them) but gentle - they aren't even really touching each other, and sprout definitely pushed for a safe word that cuphead did not take as seriously as he probably should've, but still, they have one
and FUCKKKK THE INTIMACY OF ITTTT cuphead initially expecting to be hated, scorned, and instead is getting loved like this? sprout being unused to anyone trusting him bc of how pushy he is being entrusted with something as precious as cuphead's soul?
