You just started with team flash and being a new member of the team is hard getting adjusted too. Sometimes you felt useless you didn’t have powers like Berry. Or help Cisco with anything being as though you’re not as smart as him. So you basically the coffee girl and it SUCKED. But this is what you have to do since your apart of the team now.
Recently you started taking some fighting classes, since you wanted to be ready just in case. In the event you FINALLY get called to be Berry’s back up. But this took a lot of dedication, since your trainer said you can’t have candy or eat fast food. But you fought through it and it was all worth now. You Y/n L/n wasn’t a sad sack of potatoes! Now you were a happy sack of potatoes.
Currently you are organizing files of pass missions and it was taking so long. Normally you’ d go a lot faster but seeing that you worked out. Before coming here wasn’t your greatest idea. Now your whole body was sore feeling gravity take hold of your body. Soon you find current files on Captain Cold and Heat Wave. They are the current bad guys that have been on the radar lately.
Your natural curiosity takes over as you one of the files that happened to be Heat Wave. From reading his files it was not that interesting to read up on. Except for the fact he loves fire and destruction which isn’t odd to you. Or of any interest to you at the moment, tossing the pale folder onto a nearby pile. Then you reach for the Infamous Captain Cold. Your e/c eyes scan the paperwork and find their way onto a face.
Before you could get a good look at his face the intercom goes off. “Guys I think we got a hit on where Frost and Heat Wave are.” Quickly closing the file you hurriedly going to the main room. Where Cisco and Berry are already waiting for you. This isn’t the first time you were late to an emergency meeting.
By the time you arrive Berry has gotten there at the same time as you. “What did you find Cisco?” Berry ask now standing up pacing around the room. Seeing the pulled up security footage of two large figures. At one part the two figures burning the locks off.
You continue to stand looking at the images and files that Cisco has on the screen. “So I just have some alerts from some cameras on the outside of town. I think it’s Captain Frost and Heat Wave. Like who wears a thick winter jacket in the middle of July?” Berry nods agreeing with his friend. “So do we know why they decided to be creeps and sneak into that building.” You ask feeling lost until Cisco spins around in his office chair and points at you.
“Good question my dear y/n/n I think they are in there to take this.”
He says pulling up a photo of a crystal on the monitor which as you a bit confused. You open your mouth to say something but Cisco stops you. “I haven’t tracked down exactly why they want this gem. But whatever the reason it's obvious it pretty important if the military has it on lockdown.” Berry stands up clapping his hands together.
Looking at you, “It’s time to suit up y/n.” Nodding you go change into your gear, as you leave Berry and Cisco to talk. Cisco turns to his enhanced friend, “Hey do you think she’s ready for this? I don’t think she gets how important this mission is.” Berry didn’t think you could do a lot of things and you’ve always proved him wrong.
So it’s not that he didn’t have faith in y/n, or he had any doubts about her. ”Don’t you think it is time for her to get into some action. So let’s think of this as a training simulation for y/n. But make sure she has something to use to protect herself. Since she’s getting used to working out, seeing that she’s lazy.”
The dark haired male laughs lightly at his friend from his chair. “I am already one step ahead of you buddy.” Cisco says excitedly, getting up and leaving the room for a few minutes. Then coming back with a silver briefcase, pulling out a medium sized gun. That looked like something from Men In Black, “This is something I came up with for myself. Just incase something happened. But I think this would be perfect for y/n!” He says excitedly saying opening the case, placing the gun onto the desk. “So what is it?” Berry ask his best friend who is currently grinning wildly at the gun.
“This my dear friend is what I call S.U.R.P.R.I.S.E ! I have made it light weight so if y/n is running it won’t slow her down. Also I put a safety on it because accidents happen. And I’ve also taken time to add four settings.” Holding his chin Berry examines the gun. “Wait why is it called surprise?”
Pausing at the question stops pushing back his hair. “Oh yeah I put a bunch of names in a hat and pulled one out that said SURPRISE.” Cisco announces proudly, as he points to the dial on the top of the gun. “We have the stun which will basically stun any enemy and their attack, freezing it stopping a moment in time and vaporizing which we should never have to use.” He says placing the gun back in it’s case.
Running his hand through his hair looking at the dark haired male. “Cisco do you really think y/n can handle all that?” The hero questions sounding somewhat skeptical of this new invention. Cisco rolls his eyes into his head, ”yeah she’ll be fine I mean I designed it after all.” Berry laughs, ”That’s true I better go get ready too. But explain to y/n how to use it I don’t want her to get hurt ya know.” The short man nods and leaves the room. Before Berry has anything else to say, leaving him to go get dressed.
Hopping off of Berry’s back slinging S.U.P over your shoulder and yes you did rename the gun. Berry takes in the surrounding as you both stand in basically the middle of no where. “Berry you ready for this! Because I’m pumped right now.” He laughs at you watching you bounce with excitement for your first mission. “Y/n/n you have to calm down this is serious. We have to take these guys down, are you honestly ready for this?”
Your curls bounce on your head, ” I’ve been waiting so long for this Berry and I just want to help.” Your friend smiles at you understanding. He then quickly but quietly opens the heavy door to the storage facility. You both step inside and when you do the door shuts behind you. Leaving you two now in the dark, but not for long until the lights flick on.
“Well if it isn’t the speedster? And with a very pretty friend....” Caption Frost says sarcastically. Heatwave stands with his heat gun with a stone cold expression. “Isn’t that right Heat Wave?” Caption Frost says to Heat Wave who nods staring you both down. Berry gets in a defensive stance, "If you can’t keep up guys then get out the fast lane.”
You shake your head looking at Berry, ”your witty catch phrase sucks Berry. We agreed we wouldn't do that.” you whisper yell at the man beside you as he ignores you.
“Y/n I couldn’t resist I always do this. Let me have my moment will you.” Berry says now looking at you a bit annoyed. “Well I think It should be better like-” Before you could continue a snap of someone’s fingers.
Takes both of your attention back to the two men before you. “ Are you two lovebirds done with your quailing I’d like to steal some things sometime today.” Without thinking twice Berry takes off towards the two men. As they quickly shoot their guns at Berry. While they are distracted you quickly take cover behind a large wooden crate.
Throwing your body behind a metal shelf, you pull out the stungun Cisco designed for you. The weapon wasn’t tested yet, which Cisco never told you (HA sucks for you girl) you hoped it would do you justice. Peaking around the box your sights are on Heat Wave.
Aiming directly at him and pulling the trigger, only for it to shoot out some sparks. “Are you kidding me!” You say grumbling to yourself as you smack and shake the gun. While forgetting about the fight going on behind you. “Y/N A LITTLE HELP HERE!” Berry calls out to you sounding tired. A huff leaves you as you keep hitting the gun. “Give me a second the dumb thing isn’t working!”
Heat Wave shoots at the box you are hiding behind and basically set the shit on fire. Nearly KILLING YOU luckily he didn’t, since you had already scrambled to a nearby wall. Blocking his view of you which made him huff, ” COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE GIRL!” Heat Wave yells as he goes off to look for you.
You sigh and get ready to take a break on the floor until a deep hum comes from above you. Now your locking eyes with deep brown eyes, ”I didn’t take you for a little mouse to go and hide.” Captain Cold comments as you stand a little straighter holding your gun closer. “I didn’t take you for an asshole but here we are Captain.” You retort smugly as you throw your fist at him.
Which he calmly catches in his large hand, ”ooh a feisty one. I’m glad the kid picked a lively partner, fighting him was getting a bit dull.” Captain cold says as he pins your arm above your head. The tall man traces his finger across your cheek gazing into your e/c eyes. It’s like he put some kind of spell on you. And your falling for it slowly before you smack his hand away. “Don’t touch me and we are in the middle of a fight not a bar.”
It is like he is staring into your soul, stirring something inside of you. You haven’t felt a spark like this from someone in a long time. And it was making you feel hot, ‘but that’s bad he’s the bad one snap out of it’ you say to yourself.
“It’s nice to see a beautiful face in one of these fights.” Leonard says taking in your features. He is enchanted by you chocolate skin as his finger felt your soft skin. You scoff at him his advances he thinks by a few innocent touches you’ll fall for him.
“We are supposed to be hating each other not whatever this is.” Making a point to gesture to the lack of space between the both of you. Lennard chuckles deeply looking away from you. It makes you relax hearing his laugh oddly enough he kind of looks handsome. Unlike how the news portrays him but looks are deceiving. So for all you know everyone is wrong about Captain Cold and Heat Wave might not be that bad.
Lennard places both hands on either side, of your body you bring blaster up. Point it directly at his chest without any hesitation. His face is covered in surprise, then back to the emotionless expression. “How cute you have a toy to show off.” Lennard pushes the gun tip away from him, you put the gun back at his chest. “I can kill you! Do you think this is a game Captain Cold!” Your voice gets louder he covers your mouth.
“By all means do it princess if that's what you want to do.” Lennard whispers into your ear. Moving his nose against your neck, grazing his lips against your collarbone. It makes you shiver from the sensation, your e/c eyes close losing all sense you have. Lennard pulls away not before he chuckles at your weakness.
Leaning up close to his ear keeping, your voice low not to draw any attention from the fight going on. “I would but that means I couldn’t see that handsome face.” You say pushing him back with your hand, getting a nice feel of his strong chest. Lennard raises his eyebrow a bit seeing if you were joking. All while your heart is beating out of your chest! You’d never thought you’d be flirting with a bad guy in the middle of a fight! Was it a bad idea to let it happen? yes. But did you enjoy it? Yes.
“Y/n how did it go?” The dark haired male ask noticing your pep in your step. “It went really good! Honestly I thought I’d screw it up. “ Saying that you toss Cisco the gun. Berry soon comes not too long after you with a red nose and a smell of burnt leather. Cisco get up from his seat rushing to his close friend. ”What happened Berry? You look like someone threw you in an oven!”
Berry looks at his friend unamused. “Ask Y/n she was barely any help on the mission! I was getting demolished while she was nowhere to be seen!” The speedster says in a very annoyed tone. While looking at you in the eyes, a sheepish expression clouds your face. “It wasn’t my fault I was trying to fix that stupid gun that Cisco gave me! Mind you that he didn’t even test beforehand!”
You say pointing at your teammate. “I was sure it was going to work you guys. This won't happen again. I knew I should have given you something easy to handle.” Cisco says before walking off to go fix the gun.
“Berry I’m sorry I won’t leave you hanging like that again. But this was my first mission with you and I was obviously expected to make some mistakes. I hope you guys won’t cut me from the team.” After staring at you with a straight face your friend slowly start to smile. “I know I’m sorry for snapping at you. It’s just I see what you could do for the team. And I don’t think I could get rid of such a good friend.”
You both smile and hug one another which is short lived before your phone goes off. “Well I gotta go change out of my suit I smell like death. But I’ll see you tomorrow y/n.” You nod giving Berry a nod before looking at your phone.
I’m looking for a fight tonight Sunshine. You up for it?
Which makes you text back automatically. You knew exactly who it was which is surprising how long it took him.
Nothing I can’t handle Captain
Your body instantly heats up after sending that message you instantly regret it. like WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD DO THIS!? But it’s fine just stay cool and collected. Gathering all your things you head out to meet Mr.Snart.
BONUS
Stepping into a dimly lit bar you check the address you were given. Now you just had to find Snart, which shouldn’t be too hard. Letting out a sigh you fix a few of your styled curly hair. And fixing your make up the best you can, even though you already did in the car. Now you wander through the crowed of people and finally your e/c find Lennard Snart. Seductively running his tongue, across his full lips as you approach him. Lennard stands up from his bar stool as you begin to smile at him. “I’m glad you were able to make it y/n.”
And now 6 months later Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold and you are happily dating. You two have your ups and down being that he’s the bad guy and your a good guy. But you two work through it but who says that you can’t be bad once and a while. But if it wasn’t for Cisco and Berry you would have never met him.
