(beat of the week no.-17, vol. minus one) What is Dead May Never Bertate
This is another one from 2010, before I was trying to make beats regularly. I think around this time I got a new audio interface, a Presonus Audiobox USB. I was still, however having issues with getting it to record audio properly or stably and I used a guitar chord as a sample here. During this time I was into the idea of making fake drums sound more real, there is a good deal of velocity sensitivity in the drums here eventhough it is looping.
The title of this beat is based on Game of Thrones (what the Ironborn say when they "baptize" someone) and "bertate" which is a somewhat fake word that news caster said when she had a very mild stroke on-air (she actually says "heavy bertation") : www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBcwG3zw4vg
