As some of you may know....Living Icon and Tattoo Legend @rickwalters has had some health problems the last few months which has hindered him from working too much and the Dr. bills have been stacking up. @chriswinntattoos @tattoosbykj @colorcrimes and I are organizing a $200 Max Art Show to be held March 30th at @collectiveinkgallery in Garden Grove, CA and are asking everybody in the tattoo community to donate some original art to sale. Tattoo Equipment companies, we will except donated product to raffle off as well. If there was ever a time to help one of the pioneers of this sacred craft of tattooing, it would be now. Had a great visitor at the shop today! Eric, son of Leroy Minugh (pictured on the wall) had a lot of interesting stories about hanging out at The Pike back in the day. Leroy was a tattoo artist in the area during The Pike's hayday. He worked at a nearby shop at 26 Chestnut Place. Thanks for stopping by, Erick! The "Tattoo" Exhibit at @nhmla opened on Sunday. Definitely check it out. It is AWESOME! You can buy tickets and find out more information at NHM.ORG. —— This exhibit originated at Musée du quai Branly (@quaibranly) in Paris, France and has been traveling the world after that. It opens Nov 19th and runs until April 15th. Make sure you don't miss out on checking out this amazing display of tattoo history! —— The exhibit features more than 125 images and objects, ranging from historical artifacts to intricate contemporary designs tattooed onto silicone models of the human body, one of which was tattooed by Outer Limits owner, Kari Barba (@karibarba).
