Yes I TOTALLY get you! I went through the same phase of fright, too! Even now, I'm really cautious of what I say about AmeViet because the Vietnam War is a really sensitive topic. But still, there's no harm in reblogging fanart of them just chillin' out. The fact that several extremely popular bloggers also shipped Ameviet also got me out of my shell.
Personally, I've never gotten hate for shipping it. Oh my god, I hope that nobody ever has! That would be just so stupid because most of us don't rOmANtICiZE war and wow there are a billion other reasons to ship it besides that? Christ.
