It was relatively late into the morning when Marius entered the kitchen, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and yawning. He blinked sleepily at the people in the kitchen. “Uh… good morning? Picking up some breakfast for Lyf and I before we leave with the Toy Soldier, so… food?”

Jonny glanced around the kitchen, before turning his attention back to Other Marius for a moment. “Sure, there’s. . . there’s coffee, toast. Assorted breakfast food, based on who’s up already. Ashes isn’t up yet, so no bacon.”
“Jonny did the baked beans,” Bucket added in a strained voice. He wasn’t looking Marius’s way. “They’ve been being taken out for meals for. . . a few days now.”
“Shut the fuck up.”
The other members of the room, at the moment, weren’t looking at Marius. Ivy and Bertie were in a corner of the room chatting, and Bertie looked mildly nervous. Ivy had a notebook out and was taking notes in furious shorthand. And. . .
And this dimension’s Lyf was at the table, considering an empty coffee mug. So that’s where Bucket had been staring.
