Louis and Bertie with bonus Queen Mary
Sneakily standing beside him as casually as a prince could. Albert made a sudden movement, poked Robert in the side of his ribs and darted off with surprising speed. He had stuck a noise bomb to Robert's clothes and set it off as he ran away. Have fun dealing with the snobby aristocracy that were also gathered in the room
Rob, who was busy trying his hardest to look too bored with the company and stale atmosphere of the event didn’t jump but turned around with a startled frown when he was pocked in the side. He only just caught sight of Albert rushing away and had barely time to wonder what the Prince was playing at when a noice, shrill and loud, came from his side. No, actually, from him. “What in Deliverance Dane’s name–?” he wondered aloud and palmed at his side where Albert had prodded him.
Already all the eyes in the room where on him, several people sneering at him, when he finally found the offending object, pulled it off his jacket. He had the good nerve to pull his wand and make it explode but instead he threw it to the floor and stamped on it until he gave one final, sad squeak and died. Without another look at the crowd, too proud to give them the satisfaction of his embarrassement, he strode off in the direction he’d seen a certain somebody walk off to.
“Prince Albert, Duke of York, I’m gonna turn you into a pocket watch!” he called once he spotted him from afar, uncaring that he startled a member of the household staff who’d just walked past.

They were no longer a couple.
Rob couldn’t find it in him to care as he clung to Albert. The last time they had spoken, that awful day, Rob had left in anger and upset and George VI had been crowned. It was that day that had played in his head over and over again while he’d been in captivity and thought they’d kill him eventually once the sound of his screams had stopped being entertaining to them.
Somehow he’d been found before that. Somehow he was in the arms of the man he’d left behind without so much as a farewell, just insults and the sound of a slammed door. Rob wondered if it was a dream he would wake up from soon for another round of the crutiatus curse.
“I didn’t say good-bye to you,” he muttered against Albert’s shoulder, fingers gripping at the cloth of the other’s clothes.
