I love how many people you're pulling into Slings & Arrows; it was basically mandatory watching for anyone even thinking of getting a theatrical degree when I was in school. The first time I watched it, it was presented with a revelatory reverence to me and we proceeded to watch an episode every night after work until we were done. Glad to know a decade later it still has such strong allure.

yesss i honestly will not rest until everyone is watching it. just such a good mixture of tragedy and comedy... like all the best things. shakespeare included.

it’s funny because i’d been hearing about it for YEARS and... am not sure what took me so long? but i guess i was finally swayed by realising it was free and easy to access on youtube. v glad that i have finally started.

Today I showed up a bro at the gym and didn't even feel bad about it. Nothing like having a dude explain to you how hard a thing is to make you really motivated to stick it perfectly the first time.

YES! I agree with you from the bottom of my feet, maybe even like several yards beneath my feet. One of my fave things is when I play softball with people who don’t know me. I’m pudgy and middle aged now, but I played baseball and softball for years. All the dudes move in and then I nail it out into like center field. They all watch it sail over them with their mouths slightly open. It gives me life.

I definitely binged it all in about a week last month so I know how you feel! Waiting for new episodes now is so frustrating! I’m not sure I know anything else in precisely the same vein tho.

omg i am glad to have found someone in the same boat!!! i honestly went into it thinking it would be a kind of silly sitcom and now like 3 days later i am sitting here unable to really think about anything else. IT PULLED ME IN.

i should go and look at the fic on AO3 and see if there’s anything i’m interested in. i don’t really want any shippy fic (and there’s at least one pairing that people like that just makes me think YIKES, although each to their own etc.) but hopefully there’s some gen stuff in there too.

On mobile again, will have to do a links roundup at the end of the week. Will to Follow Through (note this is archive locked, but you can also find it on the audiofic archive here), written by owlpostagain and read by beryllinthranox. When I first listened to this - probably a year or so ago - I immediately put it it into the playlist of podfic I always keep on my phone. No doubt I probably meant to listen to it again sooner. The re listen has not dulled any of its power. It's brilliant and unique to me, also the music is awesome - the song used and referenced is Fork and Knife by Brand New!
