The baby reveal! Her name is Marin and she has the wild trait. And of course, my merfolk love their little guppy! MerNoe came with the family oriented trait (standard) and the first time he picked Marin up, he went through all the baby actions without even being prompted! He rocked, he cooed, he sang – it was so sweet!

Kim’s girlfriend is Shari, if you don’t remember her from the original flashback, and she’s an interior designer. She’s based in Windenburg but, as she tells Antonia this evening, she’s got an exciting gig coming up for a celebrity in Del Sol Valley.
Between the doorway and the hearth, Noe is introduced to Margaux. She’s a spellcaster! I adore her! I never feel confident in CAS but she popped up at random almost as you see her here!
It’s sort of an assumption in my story that a lot of abductions take place in the desert worlds; Oasis Springs people think it’s a Strangerville problem, but it happens just as much there. (Of course, in game, my very first abduction happened in Henford!)

And part of the trip to Windy was to get Freddie a step along on his child aspiration (play on jungle gym while playful) – mission accomplished! Then they all got so see Axl off before the dance. I was driving home from work Friday thinking about how much I love the opening scene of A Wrinkle in Time, the coziness of cocoa during a storm, and the family connections made in the kitchen. This is sort of what came out of that. The two key points for me are Axl’s concern about Joan – he’s a good big brother – and how he’s been dying to talk to someone about Luna so he spills as soon as Antonia gives him an opening. And there’s the wee awkwardness of “doesn’t she play music, too?” Ahem.

Making big promises with that cover image! 😂 Don’t get too excited. And all the words, words, words in this one! But there are things that need to be said for the flashback and for current day to know what they’re dealing with.
Some context: Elena was the family’s maid when Noe was a child. Old man Landgraab is probably Nancy’s father; Axl goes to school with Malcolm so Nancy and Geoffrey would be contemporaries of Noe and Antonia. Noe’s family was well off but they didn’t have Landgraab money. About the alien stories, we saw in the last flashback, Noe was abducted as a child but he doesn’t remember it. At some point, I’m going to have to address the whole alien question, the kids being who they are, so I think I’m just going to leave those questions here.
