Still in disbelief Aeson watched the a giant pillow filled with feathers that passed for a bed in this realm. He was used to cots and even hard earth and quite frankly he was afraid it would swallow him whole if he laid atop it. Instead he had taken the covers and placed those on the ground to sleep on. This realm was truly an odd one, metallic cabins and even horses for transport, massive stone buildings and most folk oblivious to the threat of beasts. How did these people live like this? So soft, so safe. It felt unnatural to him. Yet, even in a world like this he was approached by people who would use his abilities for their own gain. "It appears this realm is not that different from mine own."
The Legionem Mortis, or that is what they called themselves at least. They were not that different from the Holders of Beasthood of his realm. They even required an oath of fealty which, of course, he had given without protest. At least he had lodging now he would not complain. They even supplied him with a fresh set of clothing. This he had put on trying to mask the smell of his unwashed body. Their baths, or rather lack thereof left him puzzled as to how they cleaned themselves. There was a waste pot in the washroom as well as a metallic serpent hanging behind, what he perceived to be, a privacy curtain. However he was sure to steer clear of that one. He never had good experiences with serpents of any kind.
And so he sat, waiting in his new clothes, his stench even apparent to his own nostrils, sword laying atop the feathered bed and armour safely stowed away within his prosthetic. He was told someone would come for him, on that he waited, patiently, wondering what they might have him do when they would finally decide to grace him with their presence.
