BECOME A SWEET ELITE BETA PLAYER! - Official Recruitment!

Hello Scholars! 

The staff and I are very excited to announce that the demo release is super close! Like, ridiculously close! We are working harder than ever to be able to deliver to you guys and offer you the best we can :)

However, before releasing the demo, we are going to need your help. You (yes, you!) can help us with one of the most important steps of video game development: Beta Testing!

We are going to be recruiting 5 to 10 initial beta players for the demo release!

What you need to know before applying:

This is a VOLUNTEER position: you will not be compensated for being a beta. However, you will have early free access to the game for upcoming releases.

You will NOT know more of the story in advance: You role will be to simulate what it would be like to be a regular outside player. Therefore, you will have access to only the chapters we will reveal to you. You will NOT know the ending of Sweet Elite nor anything regarding future releases.

The responsibility of SECRECY: Since you will get to play the game in advance, you will be getting access to information that will not be accessible until the official future releases. Therefore, you will be prohibited from leaking or revealing anything about Sweet Elite on the public sphere. This rule is very strict and failing to respect it will result in a permanent ban from the Sweet Elite website.

What you will do as Beta:

Spellchecking/Grammar checks

Looking out for logical inconsistencies in the story

Reporting glitches and bugs in great detail

Suggesting improvements

Giving an overall detailed, honest and helpful review of the game

Support the team in minor ways for the release of the demo

Requirements:

To apply to be a beta, you need to:

Be 16 years old or older.

Have an advanced to native level of English**

Have great attention to detail, be creative and be able to think outside the box.

Be willing to work very fast and respond to my communications VERY fast: The release is coming soon, and I will need your total cooperation. You can have deadlines as short as a week (worst case scenario) and you need to be able to meet them. PLEASE do NOT apply if you are unsure of your availabilities.

The Tests

In order to select the right beta players for the job, I will make all applicants pass a series of TWO tests:

Test 1 - Personality Assessment: You will have to answer 5 questions that will allow me to know a little more about you :) There are no right or wrong answer. This is purely just to get to know each other.

Test 2 - Practical Test: This will be given to you after Test 1. You will be given a mock game to test out with mistakes that were intentionally sprinkled throughout. It will be your job to find as many of them as possible.

How I Will Choose the Betas

As always, I will give priority to motivation. If you are motivated, love Sweet Elite and are able to work pretty well on your own, you are a great candidate to begin with. Then, you will just have to pass the practical test to show that you are able to be an effective beta.

**NOTE ABOUT ENGLISH LEVELS: You might think that it would be pointless for you to apply if your English level isn’t 100% up to par with those of native speakers. APPLY ANYWAY. I’m saying this because by recruiting betas, I am looking for the most diversified beta team that will complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. 

Your English isn’t that good but you’re a ridiculously detail-oriented and can think outside the box? Chances are, I’m considering pairing you off with another Beta who is better in English but struggles to find smaller details. Then, both of you can become a power team and provide amazing reports to me! I’m looking for diversity in skills. Teamwork. You cannot know if you make the cut until you try!

Hey Anon,

No, we will not be announcing that the betas have been chosen. We will contact all the applicants individually. 

This is to ensure that our betas do not have people pressuring them to divulge any information. The betas as individuals can reveal their positions as betas, but we feel it’s a personal choice only they can make.
