Cold, ruthless and lethal to everyone around him but considerate, loyal and protective over the ones he loves.
Lily DeLuca. A broken, free-spirited girl who refuses to be dominated. Loathes the brutality of the Mafia world and despises the ways of the Outfit. Hates that people fight and die for nothing. Forced into an arranged marriage.
An arranged marriage. What is so special about arranged marriage books? Is it the unpredictability, the unknown, the uncertainty? Is it the nervousness and awkwardness the characters feel around each other? Or is it the slow-building relationship that makes us feel the nervous sexual tension?
There is no insta-love in this book and I love that. I love that there is a slow development of a true connection between the characters. Another bonus is that there is absolutely no cheating or love triangle.
This book is a worthy read and I highly recommend it. It has everything that a good mafia book should have: drama, plot twists, characters with personality, suspense, action, and lots of hot scenes.
