ღ Waking up to a fresh new set of memories, however vague, was actually so par for the course that for a moment Byakuran felt more comfortable and at home than he had his entire time on the island. Without his connections he’d missed the feeling of new information randomly being uploaded, so he slept quite soundly-- until his phone made it impossible.
What followed was a careful calculation (made slightly slower by the fact that it was about six hours before he usually woke up) of who he needed to contact, how he could handle this collection process, and what the biggest potential threats were. By the time he’d decided his course of action, of course there was one person he had to go to first. He knew he’d need to seek out Taako soon for entirely different reasons, but the first order of business was simple: Securing his own and Shoichi’s doubles.
Preserving his wing strength for now, he grabbed his cell and looked around briefly for an improvised weapon of some kind -- no, nothing useful, it was fine, at least for now -- before taking a quick jog out the front door, ignoring whatever his roommates were doing about the new developments. Priorities, priorities. Technically he’d never been to Shoichi’s home here before, but he’d had things delivered, and now was enough of an emergency to--
“Ah! Great minds think alike, hm? It’s nice to not be the only one who remembers this time~” Much earlier than expected, heading in the opposite direction; Shoichi had been thinking the same, hadn’t he? “...It’s important that we preserve it, don’t you think?” This was a matter of life and death, sure, but for him, it was something else entirely.
“I was hoping you could handle my little wingless friend for me, Sho-chan. I could tell him what there is to lose, but... it might be more effective, coming from you.”
