I can't find the particular Tumblr post I was looking for so I'm gonna do this here.

I may come off as fairly confident when it comes to writing, but I'll be the first to admit even I fall into the trap that is envy. Of the amount of interactions, likes, reblogs that others get on their works.

But then I remember that particular post and its wisdom : Being envious of others is NOT going to make me a better writer. The only way I will get better is to just write. Write about things that make me smile. Write using tropes that I adore. Write about things I never considered writing about before
