Hey Mel! Just finished the video and loved it! Especially the bit about Young Xehanort having a hand in the splitting of Traverse Town. I did want to ask though and I apologize if you've already been asked this or already addressed this before but when you said that the Disney worlds have their own rules and KH has its own version of FF separate from KH itself, how do you think Auron in KH2 fits in considering there's an implication the Auron we see in KH2 is the same one from Final Fantasy X?

I still think Auron is in a KH-version of FFX rather than FFX ITSELF. But I will be 10000% honest and say that I haven’t played FFX for at least 4-5 years and I don’t remember a lot about him from the original game. So maybe others can recall details that lead them to believe Auron is indeed from FFX itself and not just a KH-stylized version of it (I’m curious as to what those details are?)

But still, I DO appreciate you bringing him up in general because the fact of the matter is he WAS resurrected from Olympus’s Underworld, so maybe the Underworld has more reach than just its own world order than I originally thought in my video! So thank you for reminding me of this!

I saw your posts about the new update and it feels like part of it is a desktop version of one that’s been on mobile for ages now. Regarding gifs being rendered as text posts I mean. I’ve tried to go back into my blog and edit tags for a lot of posts and it defaults back to the OLD format when I try to for a lot of posts that are 3-4 years old or older, but gives the weird pseudo text post format for posts typically newer than that

I really hope to god gifs aren’t being posted as text posts.... One of the things I love most about photosets is being able to CLICK on the image to view it in full size, you can’t do that with text post images on desktop. God I fucking hate what staff is doing so much.

Literally why are they doing this. Why. Why. What is the point.

You’re absolutely not alone there, it’s something I also struggle with so much as a player. Hell I was literally coming up with my character’s backstory the more we played as opposed to having it all ready at the start

I think theres a lot of good to that approach and would argue that if anything its better to not write up too much, but also there does gotta be some foundation and I often either struggle to establish that foundation, or in play just jump way off it.

Like my Former-Paladin Dragonborn’s set-out was from leaving his wife and I’ve only made reference to her like twice in the over a year of playing the campaign, I never fleshed out much about his time in the guard. I thought I was drawing maps and leaving spaces but I just put a few mountains on a blank sheet and then started doodling something fun in the margins. Like I like somewhat where the character is at now, but he’s also mostly just become kind of Jaded Sad Man. I definitely under-prepared and underplayed him.
