Poor Doug Ramsey...

You know how it is, you're dead for over two decades, and then get revived by an evil witch using infected transmode virus which restores your long decayed corpse to normalcy, but also leaves you under the witches control to do evil things and, worse, in a very unmemorable outfit. (We're not even sure she let him comb your newly grown back hair, which is a crime in itself)

Then you're sent on a mission with a bunch of assholes who were your teams biggest rivals, until they were killed around 1990 and have not improved in the interim.

But luckily you're still sassy yourself.

Then you remember you died in 1988 back when a dial up modem and a 64k processor were cutting edge...

and things have gotten a little more complicated since then.

But you also seem to have had an upgrade to your powers (for some reason)

and you're back in the game!

X-Necrosha (2010)

Reached the Hellions' death in my xmen reread so now it's time to post every outfit worn by every dead Hellion prior to their death!

Starting off with the later additions to the team, Beef and Bevatron. The only time we see either of them out of uniform is the issue where they both die and they are both wearing nondescript suits. Bevatron's suit only appears in the background and not coloured in.

Next up we have Jetstream, who has a grand total of 6 outfits worn out of uniform.

Besides whitewashing Jetstream, I think the artist for Hellions #1 might have mixed up Empath with Bevatron? This is Empath:

At first I thought they just got his hair color wrong (which is an easy mistake to make as his hair is light brown) but now I wonder if they just mixed up his appearance with the blond Bev altogether? Like in X-Men ‘92 when they mixed Shinobi Shaw’s appearance up with Matsu’o Tsurabaya. As a note, Bevatron is even more obscure than the other Hellions but he’s a sweetheart! He told his teammate Beef to stop being sexist, and he also would only fight when Miss Frost was threatened! Though he’s also a teenage boy and said he was fine working for Selene willingly in Necrosha because she was hot... DX

New Mutants (2019) #1 is out and I was super psyched by a cameo in it from BEVATRON OF THE HELLIONS! Top pic right there, the blond guy? That’s the Hellions uniform, and I’m pretty sure the guy in it is Bevatron! You guys, I am SO PSYCHED, I have been waiting a LONG TIME for a Hellions revival and was hoping desperately they’d turn up in Krakoa---and I got my wish! If he’s there, the rest surely are too, and that makes me so happy!! I’m also happy that Mondo is getting a role (big guy in themiddle pic), he’s a minor Generation X character that I’m fond of. Also I’m a little confused why the M-twins are in individual tiny Penance forms (bottom pic) and why M is wearing her old Gen-X uniform, but hey, I’m happy to see them too, and they seem to having a good time driving their sister crazy! AND DID I MENTION THE HELLIONS ARE BACK?! Even if it’s just a tiny cameo and they don’t turn up in the story again, I’m so super happy!!
