There isn't a lot of information about this dragon. What we know, is Terrax was the mount of noblewoman Jaenara Belaery, during the golden age of Valyria. Terrax and Jaenara are best known for their exploration. The furthest they went was Sothoryos.

Therefore, it can be noted that the pair were highly adventurous, curious and independant.

Jaenara Belaerys

Jaenara Belaerys was a dragonlady of old Valyria, rider of the dragon Terrax. Riding her dragon, she explored for three years the unknown continent of Sothoryos, which upon her return to Valyria she described as an endless and uninhabited land with jungles, deserts, and mountains.

Trivia: Jaenara Belaerys is, along with Aurion, the only old Valryan's age character we know of other than the first Targaryens, with the Belaeryses being the only other known Dragonlord family.
