More thoughts, I think Mouth Dreams (along with mouth silence maybe) has the most cohesive vibe throughout. Not only with the obvious dream, sleep, bed, and uhh,, mouth references.. but also with the way the album is formatted. It feels almost like a single stream of consciousness, the songs really bleed into each other and often one will abruptly jump into another. Some of the songs Neil uses in Mouth Dreams really evoke a sense of dream-like familiarity, plus the sentence mixing feels dream-like in the sense that if you didn’t listen closely in some spots you’d just think that was how the original song went.

The thing about the mouth albums is that, yes, I can listen to all these songs individually. However, I have the option to instead listen to them 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. Why shouldn’t I just do that???

I think my final ranking of the mouth albums at this moment (keep in mind they’re all very close) is

• Mouth Moods,

• Mouth Dreams and Mouth Silence are tied,

• Mouth Sounds.

I honestly think Dreams might become my favourite upon more listens though..,
