Is there a genre you have yet to try that is on your to-do list?

I want to try everything in front of and behind the camera before my time on this earth is done. I’ve always wanted to play a superhero, and I’ve always wanted to play a supervillain. I like the morally ambiguous characters, those are always fun to play.

Who is on your dream list to work with?

Ellen Page, Jodie Foster, Anthony Hopkins. I got to work with Jonathan Demme before he passed on the ninth episode of The Killing, and that was a dream come true for me. Alan Rickman and [Robin Williams], when they passed it broke my heart for a billion reasons. Michael Smith, Julie Andrews, I’ve always wanted to work with the royalty. I got to work with Kate Winslet, and that was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

If I made Voltron: Pidge

If I wrote the story, I would change Pidge- not her personality, or anything like that.

I would make her paralyzed from the waist down.

Why? Because of the growth it would take her through in being the green paladin. She would feel hindered for her handicap growing up, feeling stuck in place, but the Green Lion would help her to grow. Her paladin armor, of course, would have the ability to make her walk. Imagine her joy in finding use in her legs, feeling that she is finally worth something-

But that is not the only growth that would be given. Because as she developed, and grew confidence, her armor would be taken from her when she is captured. She would feel burdened again- until it clicks. With her connection to the Green Lion and her growth throughout the story, she's more than just a Paladin. She can do anything, handicapped or not. She's strong and brilliant. With a new found confidence in herself, she finds a way to escape through her genius. And in accepting herself for who she is, her Green Lion would come to her for the first time from a long distance to take her from where she was captured. That is growth. That is the Green Lion. Giving you what you need to believe in yourself to grow, and then showing you that you don't actually need it to be strong. You just need your heart.
