Going Beyond
Design denizens and aficionados flocked Greenbelt 5 Home Area last night for IDr. Frenjick Quesada's Going Beyond event; a talk on Interior Design and Artworks. Brought to us by Greenbelt and the Ayala Museum, Going Beyond also showcases a set of Interior Design Vignettes with themes varying from Old World Charm, Chic Sophistication and Au Naturelle.
The event was hosted by the lovely Lexi Schulz. We were all enlightened in terms of the proper handling of artworks and making it work in an interior setup. Design tips were abundant but the most valuable lesson that I grasped was to learn the rules well before breaking them. Amen to that!
Here are snapshots of the Vignettes. The one on the left is a a set-up for a lanai. I love the juxtaposition of wicker, metal, wrought iron and other natural materials. The one in the top right showcases a more feminine tableau while the last one is a study or a reading nook evoking a rich well-travelled appeal that happens to be flanked by dog-centric inspirations.
I attended the event with my good friend Lyra.
