After leading a woman to her death, Han Joowon breaks free of his father's grasp and tries to reconcile with what he's done by fulfilling his mother's wish for him to serve the church that failed to save her. But the arrival of something that shouldn't have been here in the first place, threatens to drag Father Han Joowon back to the case he had dug up and failed to solve.

Days Off (Twenty Percent) is a 23k word one-shot for the show Beyond Evil (2020), continuing the story of Lee Dongsik and Han Juwon with their dog Chin at their new job of finding missing people. Canon-compliant, post-canon for the show.

Rated General Audiences, although there are a couple of instances of swearing, this story is fluffy, with the appropriate amount of angst to create low-stakes drama for stress-free enjoyment. As a genre I'd say it's a comedy which thinks it is a drama. No smut, violence or otherwise explicit content, only heart-warming affectionate gestures and being in love.

Oh, and they're still bickering like a married couple.

Summary:

“Lee Dongsik …” so stubbornly he was still looking straight ahead, light reflecting off of his teary eyes. “Have you filed a complaint against me?”

Working together, sharing living space and caring for their white Husky Chin, Lee Dongsik and Han Juwon are happy with their lives. That is, until their well-meaning but clueless Chief tries to help them. Featuring Chin being adorable, Lee Dongsik and Han Juwon being terrible at communication and absolutely married, as well as heartfelt love gestures and beautiful scenery.
