@beyondbinaries gets Genis yeeted at Mithos!

It was still kind of wild to Genis that Raine had just up and left in the middle of the night. A part of him wondered if there was something specific she'd been looking for when she mentioned in her letter that she was investigating something, but he couldn't think of what. Everything had been happening pretty fast as of late. Had his sister found something she thought was important? What if it was somewhere dangerous? All the questions continued to swirl around in the boy's mind as he and the others went on their trek toward Altamira.

They weren't alone, though. Walking nearby was their newest companion, Mithos, and Genis couldn't have been more grateful for that fact. They'd only known each other for a short time, but Mithos had still wanted to come help look for Raine despite that. He could have simply said that he'd wanted to stay with Altessa and Tabatha, and Genis would have accepted that. But Mithos had asked to come along. Lloyd also had let him.

They still had a ways to go before reaching Altamira, and there hadn't been many monsters to face as of yet. So they had some time. As they walked, Genis quickened his pace a little bit so he was walking beside Mithos.

"Hey, Mithos?" Genis broke up the silence after a moment.

"Thanks for wanting to come help look for Raine. I'm sure she'd appreciate it as much as I do." Either that, or she'd scold them for coming to look for her in the first place. Genis wanted to think his sister would understand in this case, though.

"I hope it isn't too weird to travel with us," he said. "After being alone in Ozette and all..." After a moment, Genis's expression softened. All of what had happened to Ozette was pretty recent still.

"Are you doing okay?"
