the animating process was actual hell omg the tactics I pulled to not make my phone blow up were wack
before I get to that I want to talk about the actual animatic x)
the start is so silly to me because its just Ferrin planning what to do, and he just looks up at the tree like "ohhh"
"lets begin you act, just practice now"
like come on now thats literately Ferrin in the beginning

HEHE I LOVE THIS LINE i wanted to make Ferrin look as pathetic/innocent and lame as possible because I know he'd pull something like that to make Rachel and Jason trust him, and it worked cuz they were like "this guys lowkey chill lets take him everywhere with us"
but while I was drawing this, I realized that if i was in beyonders and Ferrin looked at me like that I would fold soo bad its not even funny.

I love this lyric so much its literately him. They don't know he's faking!!! also I had so much fun depicting this line, it got me wondering how he was communicating with Maldor when he was with Rachel and Jason. At first, I was gonna draw him talking to a shadow in the trees but that was too boring, then i was gonna draw him throwing a rolled up note into the sky and a carrier pigeon quickly snatching it, but that also felt off, I don't think Ferrin would carry a quill and paper the whole time lol. SO! I made the pigeon have a displacer ear! I think it makes more sense like that :)

I see this line as "don't let down your emperor/Maldor"

I wanted to make the end seem a bit more dramatic when Rachel calls Ferrin out for being working with Maldor by doing little flash backs to Maldor assigning Ferrin to the job, telling him to keep the act until something goes wrong, possibly giving Ferrin permission to kill Rachel and Jason if he needed to (but we know he keen on that)
also the red is where I wanted the flashbacks to be :)
now I wanna talk about the making of this, it was so bad. it was SO bad😭
the last animatic, my phone couldn't handle 18 hours of work in one canvas, so I had to cut it or it would crash. BUT FOR SOME REASON FOR THIS ONE. I decided to see if i could make it to 20 hours without losing my art, and for the most part it was fine.... until I had to act like i playing fnaf while animating😭 so many warning and pop ups kept appearing and crashing.
This one pop up started duplicating and showing up I KID YOU NOT EVERY 5 SECONDS. its the one that's like, app isn't responding wait or close app, and it happens to be at the bottom of the screen, and at the time, I was quickly using the bucket filter on all my frames, just mindlessly clicking and coloring through the frames as fast as I could, and I would have to press "wait" but multiple times i accidentally pressed close app.
AHH IT WAS THE WORST. LEAVING THE CANVAS WOULD TAKE ME 3 MINS AND OPENING THE CANVAS AGAIN WOULD TAKE 10 BECAUSE IT WAS AT THE BRINK OF CORRUPTING. I would try to get back in and 4/5 times it would kick me out again...
I knew it would corrupt one day so each time before i left the canvas i would download the animatic because if i tried downloading it outside the canvas it would crash, AND IM SO GLAD I DID BECAUSE WHEN I FINISHED COLORING (the first part of) MY ANIMATIC, IT CORRUPTED AND I STILL DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO IT TO THIS DAY. IM ONLY POSTING THIS ANIMATION BECAUSE I SAVED IT BEFORE IT CRASHED!! But i did lose the last part of my coloring so I kinda freaked out hah but that was better than losing my whole thing</3
also I learned the hard way that by hitting the invert button it would invert EVERY layer in EACH FRAME. While i was speed running adding a layer in every frame I accidentally PRESSED IT OH GOD NOO IM GETTING WAR FLASHBACKS. Guess what it did to my animation? yep! IT CRASHED. I COULDN'T GET IN FOR A WHOLE DAYYY.
i felt crazy some of the pop ups would just show up for a millisecond then never show up again like. I saw that. I saw you.
I KNEW THAT POP UP WAS THERE. AND EVERYBODY WAS MAKING ME FEEL LIKE I WAS losing my MIND.
I actually thought it was all over cuz mid animating my phone shut off and started showing a loading screen I've never seen before😭
so uh... lesson learned to NEVER go passed 5 hours in an animatic or it will crash
sorry i couldn't just NOT mention the absolute buffoonery I went through while animating. you could say i had fun x) yah that was fun, anyways hope ya like it <3

I only thought of this cuz Maldor was impressed with Jason and asked him to be his assistant (that doesn't sound liek the right word but yk :,)
i actually really hate this 😭... Maldor is too spooky to mischaracterize as a joke... it dont feel right... the proportions also suck big time but i was sleepy soo
