Marc Spector, aka Moon Knight, found himself in the middle of the desert somewhere in Egypt, fighting off some of Arthur’s men, trying to stop him from getting to Ammit’s tomb first. This whole situation was way over Marc's regular-type missions that Khonshu would send him on. Khonshu’s missions were typically going out, finding someone, and killing them, not fighting someone that wants to wake up a god that’s known to kill innocent people because they might mess up in the future. So all he was thinking was to find Arthur and stop him while trying to deal with someone else inside in his body so he wasn’t paying attention meanly putting his attention on fighting people.

the crimson red demon KNEW the other was right. why should he tell her if she didn't ask? she was just the same. most where that way if she thought about it. especially their kind. and it was not hard to understand why either. why should mutants tell everyone everything just because they were different?

a sigh escaped her lips. not an irritated one but a slightly tired one. why hadn't she asked in first place? probably because she had been somewhat intimidated and shy. and now she just felt silly. a bit stupid even. she was angry with herself for not being braver. it had just been a harmless question. not the end of the world. ‘ you're right. i should have asked instead of making an assumption. i'm so sorry. i didn't mean to do that...’ tail began to sweep slowly over the ground while yellow eyes looked away from the other, finding a PARTICULAR interesting spot on the sky. ‘ but now I know.’ michelle smiled ever so slightly while she shook her head a bit. ‘ guess that was life's lesson today. always ask and don't assume.’

This was one of the parts with their kind of life that Tim disliked the most: recovery from injuries. Most of the time, it was nothing more serious than cut and bruises, but sometimes you were unlucky. It had been one of those times for Tim. Not only had he needed the usual stitches, he had also required surgery due to internal bleeding. Which was why he was temporarily confined to bed, too much movement might rupture his stitches and if the internal ones popped, he had to redo the surgery. Despite still feeling weak and groggy. Tim had tried to get up, but Alfred would have none of that and even Bruce had given him a warning look. Which was all well and good since he wasn’t really able to get up anyway.

That was thirty-two hours ago, hours he had mostly spent sleeping, anesthesia and blood loss do that to you. Now, however, he was awake and staring up the ceiling when company arrived. “Hi, Dick. Come to ease my misery?” Tim greeted and tried to push himself up to a more sitting position, which made him grimace in pain. It really felt like someone had run part of his organs in a blender or shoved a couple of razor blade in the or something. Yeah, he really hated this.

“Didn’t expect to see you here,” she comments lowly as the other slides up near her. The glass is slipped from slowly as eyes take in the room with a thoughtful expression. “I hate these things,”Allie grumbles quietly, not to her new companion so much as in general because she felt it needed to be said. “At least there’s an open bar though.”

Daisy had always loved children, it was one of her biggest joys. When she had seen an ad for a full-time babysitter, she was more than happy to apply for the job and it was the best decision she had ever made. Not only did she get to live in a gorgeous apartment, but she also came to care for the little girl as if she was her own daughter. 

Daisy had just gotten her to sleep after the girl wanted to wait for her father, but she decided to tire her out. Carrying her upstairs quietly, she tucked her in and made sure not to wake her up. As she made her way down she heard the door opened and smiled seeing that it was Dick. “You’re home early, Mr. Grayson. I just got her to fall asleep upstairs.” She whispered as she made her way to the kitchen to get some food. 

“Did you eat already? I made some lasagna if you’re hungry.”

          “-- do I strike you as the kind of person who is moved by a sob story? You’re gonna have to do better than that if you want me to stick my neck out.” Peter was motivated by two things. Self preservation and money. It was hard to get him out of bed most days unless he wanted to if you didn’t have something to offer him.

He glared daggers at one of the veterans of the X-Men. His brother had all but worshipped the team, having been eager to become an X-Man himself.

But Morgan wasn't his brother Evan. He had no love for the team....and even less love for his fellow mutants.

" Just because my father is a member of your council doesn't mean I want to join your social club...."

He blamed them for the loss of his little brother. And he made sure everyone knew it.
