I will say like Simon Patterson saying I love Bez’s mom was one thing but I didn’t expect David Emmett to wax lyrical for four entire paragraphs of his blog about how truly sincere he, despite all of his years of cynicism, thinks Bez’s regret is and how his apologetic press conference is how a “real man” acts in a toxically hypermasculine sport. like of course I’m glad to hear David Emmett thinks he means it but like he really has these men gagged… for the worst thing he ever did??

Bez going to the marshal to apologise is exactly what I expected from him because i’m sure he’s actually sorry for his behaviour

when I said I knew there would be at least one journalist who played devils advocate and gave bez the benefit of the doubt I thought it would be mat oxley saying we all used to bet on marshal fistfights in the 80s but of course you can’t do that anymore… not spat writing forbidden bez woobiefication rpf

Honest opinion on Bez’s suspension from CzechGP

Bez was wrong on so many levels, you can get angry especially after a crash, it’s human. nature, but you CANT in any situation slap someone who’s trying to work.

That said, the Marshal was wrong into turning the throttle while the bike was still running on the ground, it could’ve caused a major problem to the bike, and that’s the cause for Bez’s ABSOLUTELY EXAGGERATED reaction.

Alll considered a punishment should be taken, of course, but given the action was not an endangerement to someone in the sense that he did not act in a way that was dangerous for the life of someone, he didn’t ride into someone or anything like that, it should’ve been another kind of punishment, for example a HUGE fine (i’m talking like HUGE) to be paid to the marshall, public excuse and so on.

But excluding a rider who’s competing for the World Championship the week after he got crashed out from a race Is not a punishment fitting the crime, fine him or whatever but a whole ass SUSPENSION?

When Espargaro hit Franco he got awarded 6 positions of penalty, let’s understand it’s not a punishment for the crime.
