Yap session about my bfdi x fight club au (which I'm calling Battle for FreeSmart. FreeSmart the equivalent of fight club in this universe).

Book is the narrator. Pencil is tyler. Pin is marla.

Before bfdi and in between bfdi and bfdia, Book works as an editor for a publishing firm (during the seasons, the contestants get paid to be on the show). She has insomnia, and goes to the doctor to get treatment. However, like in the movie/book, her doctor tells her to "listen to her body" and to go to support groups.

So, Book goes to support groups for bfdi rejects, objects that are missing limbs, etc. this is where she meets Pin, this aus version of Marla.

Before that, in bfdi, book takes what would be Pencils role in canon. After the season ends, she realizes her mistakes and wants to be a better person, but a part of her wants to go back to her old ways. Combined with that, her insomnia, and stress for the new season, Pencil fully manifests.

Pencil "joins" bfdia as a new contestant. Book and Pencil become good friends, and Pencil starts FreeSmart, an alliance that allows female objects to fight each other (to let out anger for the system put in place) without judgement. But as FreeSmart gets bigger and bigger, book starts to realize that this is going too far, and Pencil has been slowly leaving her behind.

Pencil then starts Project Eraser, a plan to blow up, or erase, dream island. The reasoning for this is to show how easily the system can take away something you've worked hard for, and how meaningless the thing the contestants all been killing each other for really is.

Book realizes that her and Pencil are the same person, and knows she must stop Project Eraser before it destroys everything the contestants have been working hard for.

But it's too late.

When Book wakes up in dream island, tied to a chair, and Pencil pointing a gun in her mouth, she has only three minutes to defuse all of the bombs and save dream island.

Realizing that the gun is technically in *her* hand because Pencil isn't real, she shoots herself, "killing" Pencil. She unties herself and escapes dream island before it blows up, and Pin sees her.

Book was unsuccessful, and the original dream island is destroyed. Bfdia goes on hiatus to build a new dream island, and the rest of the season goes on as usual.

the jackal's feast? 👀

Ah! This is the third and final story in my Carrion Eaters trilogy. The whole thing is a white collar crime/corporate corruption AU with Gianna Parasini and Femshep as childhood friends who reconnect as adults (plus a side of Shakarian). Jackal is mostly just plot points and ideas right now, since I'm still writing the first instalment.

Without giving too much away, this is the point in the story where all the seemingly unrelated crimes and mysteries come together, and we see the larger villian/plot at play, including some very influential political connections. The case threatens many powerful elites from the Council worlds. As such, Shepard & Gianna's lives become endangered, and there is a final showdown as they begin the takedown of the big bad.

The fic as a whole is inspired by the Carrian Group scandal, though it deviates from that narrative pretty early on.

How does main trio view Douma and via verse. Especially Inosuke.

Zenitsu is terrified of him. His heart sounds off and his voice is too perfect and he almost killed his friend. Now he's just hanging around a hashira??? What the heck is wrong with everyone??? Why aren't they doing anything???

Tanjiro does not like him because after Gyokko and Hantengu died, Douma had tried to finish the mission himself which meant he ended up fighting him, Genya and Nezuko (and leaving Muichiro to die to Gyokko's poison). The only reason they survived was because Douma found them interesting and dragged the fight out until Mitsuri arrived and they fought instead. Tanjiro would very much like to headbutt Douma a few times before he considers them even. He still has reservations about having Douma anywhere near humans.

Inosuke recognizes him as a strong person to fight - but Douma is uninterested in fighting him. He also doesn't like him for the state he left Tanjiro and the others in. Doesn't see a point to him being there and when he remembers his existence he thinks they should kill him. He's super annoying and makes his fur stand on end when he catches him staring at him sometimes.

Douma wants to poke at Zenitsu because he's so scared of him. He just wants to be friends and Zenitsu's reactions to him are what he thinks most people would find hilarious.

Douma is interested in Tanjiro because Muzan was interested in him. Other than that, he finds him unremarkable. If Tanjiro asked, he would let him headbutt him. For now he just dodges cause he's not sure why Tanjiro does it.

Douma doesn't recognize Inosuke at first and when he does, he remembers Kotoha. He remains interested in Inosuke and how different he is from his mother. Inosuke's desire to fight him kinda drives him off though since he promised Mitsuri he wouldn't get into any scuffles. This also means he doesn't tell anyone he killed his mom - that would definitely cause a scuffle.

You didn't ask but since he did meet them...

Douma thinks Genya is super cool! He's never seen his ability before. He's offered Genya a bite of himself but Genya always yells at him to leave him alone. The big stupid rock man also drives him off a lot. So rude.

Nezuko is also very interesting to him! She's pretty strong for never eating a human. Maybe he can get some tips from her? It'd make being friends with Mitsuri way easier. If only she'd stop growling at him.

He's very surprised Muichiro survived being poisoned. He's also impressed with how strong he is for his age. So sad that being a demon slayer means he's probably gonna die young. Boy does he have a mouth on him though.

Some Kits from my various AUs! Details below the cut! <3

Someplace Kit (aka Aquarius Kit) is frikkin tiny. For some reason, his cyborg-ification halted his growth and, well... He hadn't hit puberty yet and is a shortie fennec on top of that, so... Womp womp. :/ He is a grown ass man now and loathes being infantilized. He has worked VERY hard to combat the programming to be doggedly loyal to Surge and still can't resist it when directly in her presence. He also pushed a lot of his issues under the rug (whether consciously or not), leaving him a pretty apathetic shell of a person. He does have a secret hobby that makes him genuinely happy, but he would rather die/kill than let anyone know about it. His wardrobe consists of 5 sets of the same clothes because he can't be bothered. #1 Tails hater. Thankfully, he doesn't live near him.

CaveTails Kit grew up a homeless orphan in a 50s/60s-ish setting. He now works as Dr. Starline's personal assistant at a university. His childhood friend, Surge, pops by on occasion to participate in clinical trials for cash. He's a hard worker, almost always consumed by whatever Starline has him stuck to the grindstone on. This includes being forced into dangerous fieldwork, like being shipped off to a mysterious land full of terrifying megafauna. But some of the megafauna might actually be mobian and just like, messed up with some dark Gaia energy or something (whatever that is). And also they might be really attractive- something to jot down in the scientific logs for sure.

Folklore Kit is a kelpie and just straight up evil. He will drown you and eat you without feeling remorse. ... I like him a lot! :D Anyway, he has a horse/quadruped form (I'm undecided on making it a straight up horse or more of a horse/fox thingamabob?) and a mobian form. The mobian form usually looks dashingly handsome- y'know, to lure people over so he can drown their asses. But he can look more scrungly and swampy as well. Hopefully there isn't a super smart inventor living nearby that creates a magical bridle that tames kelpies and makes them docile. That would really suck for him. :)))

CtfBL stands for "Creature from the Black Lagoon," a 1952 film. This AU is basically just that movie. I proooobably won't write anything for it unless it's just short and silly? But it has been fun tweaking my Creature Kit design, getting closer to the perfect amalgamation of the both of them! He's so ugly!!! :D:D:D <3

"BFF AU" is something I came up with just now to call Kit Doll's uh... Is it even an AU? Idk, Tails Doll just made Kit Doll because he wanted a friend! That's basically it. They're cute. :333

Life gets in the way and thus my 2024 Mass Effect Big Bang project fizzles into a regular story. But... a trilogy! This is a story that's been living in my head and on my computer as little bits and bobs for a long time now. I was happy to finally have the excuse to write it. Description:

Ex-Alliance soldier, Jane Shepard, is out of work and down her luck when an old childhood friend, Gianna Parasini, comes calling. With Gianna’s help, Shepard high-tails it to the Citadel and begins a brand new life as a corporate investigator. But things quickly turn deadly as one of Gianna’s former colleagues is found drowned in the galactic capital.

Under the guidance of C-Sec’s special investigator, Detective Garrus Vakarian, Shepard and Gianna work to unravel a tangled knot of avarice, murder, and corporate corruption.

A Shakarian, No Reapers AU

There was nothing to weigh her down, not really. Two pairs of sensible shoes, a selection of shirts (black or gray) , three pairs of pants, one pair of brand new jogging shorts, socks, underwear, and the usual personal hygiene products: these were the things that Jane Shepard had brought with her onto the ship that had ferried her from Earth. She owned little in the way of personal effects. She had no use for sentimental things—no family heirlooms, no trinkets bought on holiday, not a single photograph committed to physical form. The only thing she’d packed besdies the basics was her Alliance service medal, a heavy, brassy thing that had never been removed from its original box, now shoved into a hidden pocket inside her rucksack like a forgotten, ancient talisman. Leaving Earth was not as regrettable as she had expected. Seven months she’d been unemployed, about the same amount of time since she’d finished serving her last tour with the Alliance, and she was desperate to do anything, anywhere, as long as it meant keeping her nose clean and keeping herself housed and fed.

I think. I think I want to rewrite the childhood bff to lovers au. I think when I wrote it I didn’t have the skills to do the story justice but I do now. And I have some more ideas for it too including a couple of changes. Because I think the characters for this au are incredibly similar to the characters in the soulmate au. And honestly the au just fell really flat and not a lot like how I imagined it to be.
