Bitey is Blackie’s little brother he has custody of.

These two met because Early Bird’s mom made her do english tutoring to meet other ponies. Bitey helps her with her math in return.

They can normally be found in the back of the library, but the librarian doesn’t mind since they’re “quiet kids”. They use the favoritism to get away with schemes. 

Bitey’s going to grow up to be a book keeper with questionable morals

Early Bird is going to be an entomologist (bugs are very quiet) who lets Bitey hide out at her secluded cabin when the heats on him.
