DnD Shar

After everything I've researched about Shar, the primordial goddess from DnD, I truly don't understand why any other deity, evil or not, would ally with her. Shar wants to return EVERYTHING to the primordial void; she wants all life to cease. Her agents are ultimately working for nihilism and death. Everything and everyone must die.

Evil deities should scorn Shar in addition to good deities because if all life dies, they will have no worshippers. And I'd imagine she would seek the death of all other deities as well.

I've been thinking a lot about this in the context of roleplaying as a Cleric of Loviatar in BG3. The way I rationalize my cleric turning Shadowheart away from Shar is that Loviatar is all about pain as a proof of life; only the living can feel pain. Shar wants to end all life and also removes painful memories. I know in the official lore, Loviatar and Shar were allies at one point, but to me it makes more sense for Loviatar to be opposed to Shar. Shar worship should in fact be the MOST repellent and forbidden of all deity worship, as it's the ultimate nihilism.

I noticed that ea shadowheart’s concept art has this spiky rosary (either likely for blood letting or just for the sake of pain) and decided to put that design into shadowheart’s hair!
