Omg so much has happened right? Even guessing Taekook would be louder after service, itās still so surreal. I absolutely love seeing them so happy and thriving, what a wonderful era we are inš
Iām trying to keep up with events and slowly get to being more active on twitter and Instagram again (Iām never going to be a daily poster but Iām slowly working to my level of active).
Iāve done my best to update the timeline but things are still pretty crazy in my personal life. My Japanese night class has been intense and exhausting. The next four classes are test based (oral, chapter, kanji / written, final). Not only that, as I prep and take three of the four tests, I start new accelerated courses my work is paying for me to take. Iāve made a personal goal to make 2026 my year of personal physical and mental growth after the challenges I have continued to deal with since last year, but itās still overwhelming. The next batch of courses run through the end of the year so Iāll continue to be trying to balance FT work, college, life obligations and being active.
All of this is to say, as always, if anything is wrong in my posts please let me know! Itās not offensive to me. Iām trying my best but I know thereās a chance Iām missing things or mixing moments up. If you want or need to send links, send them on Twitter. Tumblr fights me with links and I donāt check IG much. Iām not in DMs to chat but I definitely read DMs for corrections, suggested adds, links etc.
With BTS on their world tour, Iāll probably carefully curate what I add to the timeline so I can balance my personal with archiving moments. Again, if you see something youād like added, just let me know and Iāll do my best!
Iāve reblogged all new updates to 2026 but theyāre private because I need to organize them into chronological order. My hope and goal is to do that in the next few days.
Thank you so much for your patience, thank you for the grace if Iām slow, thank you for your understanding if Iāve mixed something up or gotten something wrong. I want to do my best with this blog and I want to continue to support Taekook to the best of my ability, so I welcome kind words / suggestions that ensure the timeline stays as factual and curated with love, care, respect and consideration to Taehyung and Jungkook.
I don't think a lot of people realize that Gale gunning to get the crown and become a god is him lashing out.
Gale wanting to be a god isn't about godhood at all. It's his worth, he wants to rub it in Mystra's face that he doesn't need her. This is obvious if he meets with Mystra before the boat ride scene where you convince to not pursue godhood. In this scenario Gale is visibly and loudly pissed on how Mystra abandoned him.
He always seems so in control that people seem to miss that this attempt of a power grab is him lashing out to Mystra is similar to Astarion's grabbing and stabbing Cazador multiple times.
Ooh, I see we got official spellings for Star Detective Precure characters.
I saw people calling Luluka as Ruruka before, so I guess we now know the intended version of the name. It sounds very non-japanese to me.
Everything else seems to be as people shared them before a week ago.
Quite excited for this new series tbf, the designs are so nice, even if some hair similarities are quite glaring and makes me wonder if there's actual reasoning for it or the character designer is just... severely obsessed with the hair style type lol.
I'm still disappointed with the unbalance of focus throughout the year, but I feel like this episode nailed it. Spinel got what he deserved too. And I still feel bad for the bastard. Shows how well they managed to make him a villain who loses it all in the end.
I cried at Liko's speech at Spinel, I cried at Blacky releasing herself from Spinel, I cried at Pagogo release.... gosh.
Rising Again and Mega Voltage had their issues, but I am so glad they managed to nail down the finale of the main story. Well done.
Hi I saw you said ādonāt get me started about quantumā on a post about radioactivity as metaphysical to a lot of people. Iām asking you to get started. Please infodump to me, Iām curious
I'll really quickly cover the concept of a quantum mechanical "interpretation". While we understand many QM principles, the underlying mechanisms are not entirely understood presently, and there are a number of different "theories" that explain some of the known facts. Here's a wikipedia link for you
I'll need to split it into two aspects: there's a political side to quantum and a metaphysical one.
Metaphysically: people deploy Quantum Mechanisms as a kind of magical charm or barrier against determinism, as well as a wellspring of mysticism for many types of faith claims.
Politically: The German nazis really hated quantum mechanics. A lot of the people working on quantum mechanics at the time (Bohr, Heisenberg, Born, etc.) were German or Danish jews, and the Copenhagen interpretation was named after the city they worked in together.
Metaphysics:
Many people can't or won't process that the universe is probably deterministic. We are made up of exactly the same stuff as a (hertofore) explainable universe, and thus one would guess we are also explainable. Or, to put it simply: all our actions follow the principles of cause and effect. We're not special, we're just meat, we live in a cold, uncaring universe, free will doesn't exist, etc. However you want to describe it.
For some reason, people seem to struggle with that. I personally don't see what all the fuss is about, but for many people this is a particularly Big Deal. Many people refuse to believe this heedless of any evidence for or against, and find themselves in need of some pet theory to send their imagined Boogeyman back underneath the bed.
For such a fear-based philosophical position, practically any explanation will do, so long as it sounds authoritative enough to make themself believe it. In our subject for today: the Copenhagen interpretation and the Many-Worlds interpretation. (And some pieces of Quantum Information Theory).
If your misunderstanding produces results that comfort you (i.e. quantum mechanics proves that souls are real), it's easy and, more importantly, socially acceptable to refuse to understand more to preserve your innocence. After all, Quantum Mechanics is too complicated!~
The public desire for this kind of justification is so intense that there exist people whose jobs consist of largely misexplaining quantum mechanics. If you warp the definition of "observer" or the principles of many-worlds you can bend QIT and Many-Worlds into pretzel-shaped support for all kinds of kooky spiritualism. Many-worlds in particular has become so corrupted by this impulse that it's developed a reputation for being the favorite interpretation for empty-headed pseudo-philosophers (quantum immortality is a cute short story idea and nothing more).
QM holds a unique place in scientific discourse where its primary aesthetic influence is the idea of being complicated. The expectation is that nobody really "understands" QM, which, counterintuitively, makes it very easy to engage with as an anti-intellectualist or mystic. I mean, think for a minute: Do you, dear reader, actually know what the word "Quantum" means? It's not a gibberish word, it has a specific meaning the same way that the "rocket" in "rocket physics" does. Is there another branch of science where people will just straight up not know what the name means?
Woo loves QM because it's a well of big words and concepts that will generally go completely unquestioned by the average people. Quantum Mechanics essentially gets permanent "new, fringe science" status that makes it a major target for mysticism and branding, despite the fact that it is an old and well established branch of science that is reasonably well understood. You can justify many completely insane ideas with a generic nod to some article on a QM principle (or more commonly, complete fictional invention) by an undereducated journalist who also materially benefits from a completely static QM knowledge level.
Politics
It's also worth mentioning that this Quantum Mysticism bleeds through into politics. In general, woo and conspiracist thinking have penetrated deep into the political consciousness like WD40. One need look no further than the campaign of Maryanne Williamson to see its effects. There is a disgusting cycle here:
Science field misunderstood >
Bogus claims made >
Pseudo-experts accrue power by pretending to be arbiters of scientific knowledge >
Political power used to reduce funding for science and science communicators >
Science field misunderstood >
This is happening everywhere: Nutrition and Health are deeply infected with the same virus. However, QM was the breeding ground for a lot of this. Nobody cared when it was QM, because Quantum Mechanics is too complicated!~
Beyond this, very specific kinds of people have beef with QM. I've found an incredibly close correlation between the kinds of people who specifically really hate the Copenhagen Interpretation and ethnonationalists (not dislike, or disagree, but ideological hatred). The nazis basically called it "the Jewish Science" and anyone influenced by fascist thought in the modern era will carry on some of their hatred.
There's an anti-intellectualist thought complex assembled by fascist "intellectuals" in the 1940s that has never really gone away, kept alive in the minds of ignorant chuds like the olympic flame. It rails against "post-modernism" and "moral relativism". (Ideas strongly associated with prominent german thinkers of the time, some of whom were Jewish). These people can never move on, stuck repeating the grudges of 1940s villains without even understanding why they're saying them.
It's important to note that this is an ideology formed almost entirely out of anti-Semitic tropes of the time like a bird's nest. All fascist ideology is syncretic and artificial, poorly composed of random isolated facts or ideological elements, buttressed by a tension of resentment and rage, and then glued together with complete fiction. Anyone adopting it is doing so because it helps them target the kinds of people they want to target.
Anyway, hating quantum mechanics and specifically the Copenhagen Interpretation has become a bit more gauche over time so it's a lot less popular. You'll still see people repeat it, but it doesn't generally get lumped in with post-modernism in quite the same way anymore.
I must admit to a certain particular vicarious joy when reading about the failures of totalitarian "science". Reality does actually exist, and trying to enforce your will on an uncaring universe with your will as a hammer can only destroy you. (See the lysenkoists, nazi science in general, investment based research, geocentrism, race science, etc). No matter how total your political control, reality itself is more total, and these kinds of scientific mysticism and ideological "science" are universally doomed to tear themselves to pieces trying to penetrate the firmament itself.
