I assume goombas would taste like imitation pork. Their design feels like to be evolving to resemble the wild boar of Japan; what with their charging when aggro'd like that god in "Princess Monokoke," and their silly Ishishi/Noshishi-looking fangs. But since it's the toad kingdom, they're probably to boars what the "Toads" are to humans. Coupled with fact that mushrooms are already used as a meat substitute (as I saw once in an episode of "America's Test Kitchen"—not a fan of that show, however—and my memories of seeing grocery products claiming anything of the sort is far more deteoriated), is where I got this inspired notion...
Not to be scapegoat-hunting, but...Are artists forced into gatekeeping because of capitalism threatening our ability to make a living by doing what we love doing with tech automating the process, or are movies like "Monster House" and "Happy Feet" truly not "animation" by definition?
