Day 5 of the 5 days of Diwali Celebrations: Bhai Bheej Today, the Diwali Celebrations end by celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters. On this day, the sister invites her brothers and his family to her home. As per ritual, she places a protective tilak (vermillion dot) on his forehead to protect him from negative energy and performs Aarti on him to pray for his well-being, happiness and success in life. As a small thank you to my many perfectly imperfect brothers, I made these little packages of Maharashtan Chevdo (snack) that I learned from my auntie-in-law.
