having a bad memory is super fun when worldbuilding
and by super fun i mean that i just wrote a bit of Bhavish’s backstory aka zis first meeting with Master Smita after ze adopted zim. And Bhavish was deemed “weird” at the orphanage because of zis access to magic, which was bigger than your standard person’s, and so uncontrollable when ze didn’t even have any idea what magic was.
And so now Master Smita just casually used some magic to help Bhavish in the treck through the forest, and gave zim some tips, and so-
ze tried to implement those tips to speak - because so far every time ze spoke the magic did Something, - but instead of grabbing the magic strands to silence the bells that rung - you know what, this seems like a lot of exposition necessary to understand this.
I’ll explain it better some other time, but for now all you have to know is that Bhavish’s hold on magic allows zim to basically stifle person’s access to the magic on accident - which means death - and zis name, as it turns out, means “Lord of existence”, and what could have possibly been a better name for zim?
so kudos to Past Me for choosing that name when I didn’t even know exactly who Bhavish was supposed to be ig?
