“The dark”

You flinched as your dorm room lit up and a loud thundering sound filled your ears shaking the building. You screamed holding your pillow tighter listening to the heavy rain pound on your window as the trees creaked and swayed, you let out a shaky breath as you tried to calm yourself, you were quick to turn on your room light to afraid to be in the dark alone. You felt your heart rate go down once light filled the room.
You flinched as it thundered outside again with a loud boom that seemed to shake you to your core. It was about 1 in the morning, you wondered if your boyfriend Izuku was up. Chances were that he was studying again against your best wishes, he was always working himself so hard.
Your thoughts were interrupted as your lights begin to flicker and suddenly you were in the dark again, fear filled you as you covered yourself with the blankets. The lightning through shadows around your room making you look around frantically. You suddenly realized you didn’t want to be alone, carefully you slowly got up from your bed almost afraid that something would drag you far away to an unknown hell.
You grabbed your phone thankful for the small light it made, it was better than nothing after all, you looked for Izuku’s contact named ‘Izuwu’. A great friend gave you that Idea and ever since you've stuck with it. You smiled slightly at the thought until you were reminded of the horrible thunderstorm by another loud boom that shook the building. The fear overtook you once more and you quickly called your boyfriend. You waited.
One ring, two rings to three and four. Once it was clear he wasn’t going to answer you were about to give up when he suddenly answered. His voice was glitched out and cutting out over and over again. The sound of it gave you shivers as you heard him trying to say your name, instead it just sounded defromed and scary like in one of the horror movies. You screamed as a muffled yell sounded on the other side and the line went dead.
You stood there growing pale with fear, something might have gone wrong. What if he was attacked? What if something got him? You couldn’t panic now, Izuku needed you! With a shaky step you slowly opened your door to a dark hallway, your eyes widened and at that moment you wanted nothing more than to run back to the safety of your room. You closed your eyes and shook your head, if you were going to be a hero you had to be brave.
You started slowly walking down the hall until you heard a loud bang from somewhere in the building, you threw your hand over your mouth muffling your scream. It was just another student, everything was okay. You were safe, this was UA after all right? Your eyes widen as you fumbled with your phone, duh! You have a flashlight on your phone!
Relife filled you as light filled the hallway even if it was only a little bit, it was better than nothing. Braver now you started walking again, you jumped as the silence was filled with your phone ringing. Happiness filled you as you realized Izuku was calling you, you quickly answered.
“I-izuku? I tried to call you but I-i think the thunderstorm got bad” you rushed out in a hurry. Confusion filled you as he didn’t answer. “Izuku are you there?” You knew someone was there because you heard….something? Suddenly an eerie feeling filled you and you no longer felt as safe as you thought. You quickly hung up the phone as a shiver ran down your spine, you started to quickly walk faster, your light bouncing everywhere.
Your breath grew shaky as you suddenly felt like you were being watched, you just wanted to get to Izuku’s room at this point, everything felt scary. You stopped in your tracks, hearing someone call your name.
“(y/n)! Come here (y/n)!” It sounded like Izuku? Maybe he went looking for you after all? Slowly you turned and started to walk towards the sound as Izuku continued to call your name out into the darkness. Only when you were so close you should have been able to see him did you get a horrible feeling in your stomach. Something told you to run. And you did. Your quickly turned sprinting down the hallway, Izuku had stopped calling your name the moment you started running and instead you heard pounding footsteps behind you.
A scream left your lips as fear filled you, the light on your phone flickered and suddenly went out. you felt something grab you and screamed again trying to push and kick them.
“Ow! Hey (y/n)! Its me! Hey hey its okay!” Izuku yelled worry in his voice as he shined his light at the ground. “Are you okay? What happened? You look pale”
“Y-you jerk!” You yelled tears filling your eyes as you pushed him away, “why would you scare me like that?! T-the call, leering me d-down the hallway and chasing me!”
He suddenly looked extremely protective as his worry grew. “Call? What call? Someone was chasing you? When?”
Your eyes widened as you felt your heart drop “j-just now, it sounded just like you...that w-wasn’t you? I called you once, a-and then you called me…”
He frowned and shook his head “i-i haven’t had my phone all day..” he pointed his light down the dark hallway before he looked at you. “Lets go back to my dorm room, I’ll text the group chat to be careful…A villain might have gotten in and it seems like they had my phone..” You nodded nervously as your boyfriend wrapped a protective hand around you. Though you couldn’t shake the feeling that you were still being watched and whatever you heard that night was very very angry….
(A/N) yes I’m really back! If you couldn’t tell I love writing horror, posts will be slow but I am back! I’m sorry if this isn’t as good as my others, it’s been awhile since writing but I had fun writing this!
