Beca and Chloe had been friends for over four months now. Ever since Beca had gotten into the Barden Bellas, she never had to worry about friends. Despite having a job, it wasn't the same like the bellas. They were mostly everything to Beca.

All except her passion for creating music and beats.

Another person that had tagged along in Beca's life was Jessie, he was a part of the trouble makers and also worked with her at the dvd store. The guy was nice for the most part but he just never seemed to catch onto social cues.

Today, Chole had invited Beca to an after school party, despite it not being Beca's setting. Chloe had insisted her to go and mostly everyone in the bellas also persuaded her in doing so.

“Beca get up.” Fat Amy groans before pulling off the covers from Beca. The dark haired woman just groaned trying to fight and grab the blanket but coming empty handed.

“Five more minutes!” Beca insisted on still having her eyes closed before turning her body to the opposite side to where Amy was.

“We have to practice for the performance next week.” Amy groans slowly, getting annoyed with Beca by the second.

With a small sigh, Beca nods her head and sits up from her bed. When she finally opened her eyes she had only spotted Amy in the room. Has everyone left already?

The prior night Beca had hosted a sleep over since Kimmy Jin was gone for a few weeks.

The main people that had stayed the night were Amy, Stacie, Cynthia, and Chloe. To Beca the night was much of a blur since they had all stayed up late at night chatting and taking turns to spill secrets. It was like highschool all over again for Beca, one of which was an unpleasant memory.

“Chloe left.” Beca pointed out loud enough for Amy to hear, Beca then went to the bathroom and started to freshen up.

“Yes Chloe left.” Amy said a bit sarcastically before leaning against the doorframe watching Beca brush her teeth.

“Whats with the tone?” Beca asked her curiously, still brushing her teeth. Amy just rolls her eyes.

“Nothing, I'm sure you miss her a lot.” Amy teases before going back to Beca's nightstand and grabbing her stuff.

The tease was supposed to be cute, but instead it held implications that Beca still didn't get.

Chloe was one of her closest friends in the Bellas apart from Amy. She was the only one who had seen her naked after all. Beca finished up in the bathroom and grabbed her shoes before turning to Amy who was waiting patiently.

“Let's go before they start spamming our phones.” Beca announces to Amy grabbing the room key and opening the door. A simple sigh was heard from Amy as she got closer to Beca.

“Aca Finally!”

Beca and the rest of the bellas practice for nearly two hours straight. For the first hour they spent it vocal training while the remainder was just them doing workouts and perfecting the choreography.

“That's it for today, I'll see you all tomorrow.” Audrey tells the bellas, taking a sigh and going for water. The rest of the girls nod their heads and most of them make their way out.

All except for Beca and Chloe.

Beca was grabbing her backpack before Chloe started approaching her.

“Im exhausted.” Chloe spoke, her voice strained while she leaned against the wall. Beca turned her head to fully face Chloe.

Her long blond hair is frizzy from the cardio, and her face is a little pink. Even now Beca couldn't help but admire her for just a few seconds.

“Me too.” Beca responded quietly while finishing up what she was packing. She then put her bag over her shoulders and glanced over at Chloe as a cue that she was going to leave.

Chloe quickly got the message quickly going to grab her bag.

Just when Chloe found her way beside Beca once more, Fat Amy also approached Beca with a big smile.

“Bechloe! Do you guys want to go to the dvd store? I need more songs.” Amy asked the two of them, Beca seemed to be caught off guard by the random name.

Chloe on the other hand couldn't help but smile to herself at Amy's words.

“Bechloe?” Beca questioned curiously, finding it funny.

“Beca and Chloe? Bechloe.” Amy responded in a matter of fact tone almost like she was teaching a little kid a new word.

“Did you make a ship name for us?” Beca asked obliviously, looking at her more amazed than uncomfortable.

“Beca you're getting distracted.” Chloe reminds her, slowly moving the topic to somewhere else. Amy seemed to catch on by Chloe's response and quickly nodded her head.

“Yeah, are we going to the dvd store or what?” Amy asked the two once more. Chloe just stared at Beca waiting to see what she would say in return.

“I would but I have to attend my science class. I've been skipping this past week and my grade is dropping. I also work there and the last thing I want to see is my boss.” Beca explains to Amy that just sighs in defeat.

“Ill walk with you to class.” Chloe suggested with a soft smile gently grabbing onto Beca's arm and pulling her a bit closer.

Beca wasn't sure of what made this whole moment different from the rest. Maybe it was because of how close Chloe was and she could smell her perfume. Or how Chloe's eyes lit up at the pure suggestion. Something about it made Beca's heart skip a beat.

“Lesbi honest.” Amy mutters under her breath catching both Beca and Chloe's attention in an instant.

“What was that?” Chloe asked Amy curiously with a small smile on her lips.

“Oh nothing i said im so exhausted, anyway im going to the dvd store because im tired of the radios shitty mash up.” Amy explains to the two of them getting ready to leave them alone once more.

“If you like I could get a collection of a few songs and put them into a disk for you Amy.” Beca suggested just when she was about to leave. Amy flashes her a smile.

“Yeah that'd be great.” Amy said with a small nod before walking out leaving the two alone once more.

“Can you make me one too?” Chloe's voice suggested, it sounded so genuine and soft. Beca turned to look at the blond before smiling.

“Yea i can make you one as well.” With that response alone it made Chloe's smile grow wider and her arm tighten around Beca.

“Let's go before I'm late.” Beca tells Chloe slowly leading the way to the main door. Chloe nodded and followed along beside Beca just as giddy.

The two of them make their way down the campus hall and out of the auditorium. They then walked by the grass onto the grass that had a small trail through it.

“Beca why is there so many marks on the grass despite there being a sidewalk?” Chloe asks her curiously looking down at the grass and just walking beside her despite not understanding the choice in trail.

“Its called a ‘Desired Pathway’ when people take a path that goes against the original design. Mostly because it's a faster route.” Beca explains to her staring at the pathway and just walking along it.

“But how did everyone just collectively come together to make the path.” Chloe still questioned looking at the other patches of grass around them.

“It's mostly what feels comfortable with the body, people will go with what's easiest and eventually that same behavior starts to become more prominent creating a pathway for others.” Beca elaborates a little more partially spaced out in her own thoughts.

It seems to have fascinated Chloe because she couldn't stop staring at Beca, not in a judgemental way but softly.. Like what Beca was saying was something serious.

“I think that's cute, we are all connected in the smallest of ways.” Chloe responds softly, finally reaching concrete once more and making it into campus.

“We are always connected.” Beca states looking at Chloe in the eyes this time, what was supposed to be a general comment seem to have made its way to something more directly spoken towards Chloe.

Chloe on the other hand just nodded her head before looking away from Beca's eyes. The brunette just smiled at herself by Chloe's reaction.

“You know, on Christmas we-” Just when Chloe was going to suggest something to Beca, she was rudely interrupted by the sound of someone calling for Beca.

“Becaaa! Happy to see you around here.” It was the voice of Jesse as he made his way to the two and stopped in front of them. Chloe let out an annoyed sigh but let him go on. Benji also approached both of them with a big smile waving at Chloe.

“Jesse, Benji.” Beca responded with her awkward smile while looking at the two.

“Are you ready for our shift lady?” Beca had completely forgotten about it entirely, she just froze for a few seconds.

“Wanna see a magic trick?” Benji asked Chloe before taking out a few cards, Jesse just mentally face palmed. Beca tries her best to not get distracted by Benji's attempts.

“I can't go today, I'm going out with Chloe.” Bea tells Jesse vaguely, letting him down slowly.

“Cool! Where are you going?” The question sounded a bit invasive but Beca just reasoned it to be out of curiosity.

“The bellas just invited me to this little gathering.” Beca lied trying her best to out the whole event. Jesse looks at Chloe and Benji before leaning close to Beca's ear.

Chloe's eyes quickly glanced over at Beca and she just observed Jesse's closeness before Benji got her attention once more.

“Is it the party after school?” Jesse whispered into Beca's ear curiously, so he was aware of this as well.

“You're going?” Beca asked him curiously and he just moved back with a big smile.

“Of course I am! I won't miss it!!” Jesse exclaims a little too loud to catch the students nearby off guard.

“Miss what?” Benji asked Jesse but he simply dismissed it.

“Well Beca and I have to go, we are going to be late.” Chloe announces once more glancing over at Beca.

“Right, I'll see you two later.” Beca quickly remembered before taking Chloe's hand and making her way past them.

“See you Beca.” Jesse says with a sly wink and Beca simply rolls her eyes.

“Jesse knows about the party.” Beca mentions to Chloe before turning to look at the blond once more.

“Yeah, the trouble makers are invited.” Chloe says, staring back at Beca with a small smile. Beca simply nodded.

“That Benji guy seemed really interested in me.” Chloe points out almost casually before looking ahead of her.

Something in Beca paused for just a second, She had been too busy talking to Jesse to even notice Benji's silly magic tricks. The idea alone of Beca and Benji, didn't sit right with her.

Not because Benji was a bad guy, but because he wouldn't be good for Chloe.

“He must've been nice.” Beca dismissed it as that, but a small smile seems to creep on Chloe's lips, it quickly catches Beca's attention.

“What?”

“Nothing!!”

“Whats with the smile.” Beca asks, still insisting, her own smile slowly growing.

“I can't smile? Geez.” Chloe responds just as dramatically as before, Beca rolls her eyes and sighs, not prying any further.

The conversation seems to die down the moment they are both met in front of Beca's science class. Beca takes a halt and turns to face Chloe once more.

The blond does the same staring at Beca curiously, it was now that Beca realized that she had been holding her whole hand the entire time.

“Well I guess we are here.” Beca tells Chloe with a small smile despite knowing that she needs to take extra work back to her dorm.

“We are, I can't wait to see you later tonight.” Chloe tells Beca, her eyes going from her face down to Beca's lips for a mere second.

“I can’t wait to have you all to myself tonight.” Chloe adds giving Beca's shoulder a gentle squeeze. The more Beca repeated it in her head, the more it sounded like it had a double meaning.

But then again they were friends she couldn't have possibly thought something like that, Right?

“All to yourself?” Beca couldn't help but tease Chloe who just rolled her eyes in response.

“And the Bellas of course.” Chloe adds just as causally, the addition not sounding as genuine as her first comment.

“Whatever, ill see you later Chloe.” Beca said with a small smile looking at the blond one last time before entering her class.

“See you Beca.” And with that Chloe turned and walked into the opposite direction that they had first come from.

For whatever reason Beca couldn't help but watch Chloe's retrieving figure just for a moment longer.

It was an hour after the time Beca had been given for the party. But due to her overwhelming amount of homework, she decided to take a little time to catch up. Her professor had promised her that he'll raise the grade if the papers were turned in by the next day.

Because of this, Beca was now late to the party, but could you really be late at a party?

Either way, she didn't waste too much time with hypotheticals or silly questions. Instead she just followed the address and went into the property. Before she could even enter the building she was met with a group of people running around the lawn and couples making out by the porch.

Beca ignored it, dismissing it off as a basic party. Instead she opened the door and stepped into the building. Now she was met with an overwhelming amount of people, they all either danced to the loud music that you couldn't even understand.

Beca moved past most of the people and found the kitchen. She looked around curiously trying to find something to entertain herself with. Not much to her surprise she ended up coming empty handed.

It wasn't until twenty minutes after that she heard a loud noise from the hall. At first Beca excused it as lousy high school students running around. But then she spotted a blond, it wasn't Chloe, It was Amy.

“Beca! Aca Finally.” Amy says in relief as she makes her way towards Beca with a beer in her hand, she was already drunk.

“Amy!” Beca says just as happily walking towards her.

“Where the hell have you been? All of the bellas are drunk and you missed it.” Amy said almost slurring in her own words.

“Was I really that late?” Beca asked her, a bit more shocked than before.

“Yes, Chloe has been looking for you.” Amy is now more serious than before.

“Oh shit I'm sorry, where is she?” The question alone made Amy smile before giving her the most awkward wink known to mankind.

“Shes in the back.” Amy directs before grabbing another can of beer and drinking off of both of them.

“Thats a lot, Amy.” Beca warns her much more worried than before.

“Mind your own business and get your girlfriend.” Beca's face instantly went pink at the suggestion, she had never flat out thought of it like that.

Amy just walked towards Dumper who was waiting for her, almost impatient. Beca just smiled at the two, finding their connection cute. It was against the acapella group but she still kept it a secret.

Once she left, Beca started making her way towards the back of the house. After getting through a crowd of people she finally reached the back porch. That’s when Beca felt a hand grab on her arm.

Out of sheer confusion she turned towards the direction only to see Jesse. He had a huge smile and a plastic cup on the other hand.

“Wow, where are you going? You just got here.” Jesse mentions his smile growing wider, it was clear that he was drunk as well.

“Not now Jesse, I have something to do.” Beca tried to cause herself but Jesse just leaned in closer to Beca.

“Awh come on, you always have something to do.” Jesse says getting a little closer, the smell of alcohol and cologne started to fill Beca's nose.

“Youre so beautiful you know that?" Jesse added inching closer to Beca's lips. Beca pulled away only slightly, but it was more than enough to catch a glimpse of something.

Or rather someone.

It was Chloe that stared towards Beca's direction, she looked like a little fawn that was abandoned by her mother. Before anything could even happen she just ran off.

That alone caused Beca to push Jesse completely off of her, the sudden force catching both of them by surprise. Jesse took two steps back and stared at Beca almost stunned.

“Can you ever listen?” Beca asked her irritation growing even more, she then ran off. Making her way down the porch steps and running into the lawn.

Something about seeing Chloe so heart broken and upset, broke something inside Beca. And to think that she was the cause of the pain only made her feel worse.

Beca ran far from the house where no one was at, That's when she spotted a tree that was close to the fence. Beca walked a little further only to hear the noise of sniffling.

“Chloe..?” Beca couldn't help but ask out almost cautiously, taking small steps.

“Go away!.” The sound of Chloe's voice was heard, only this time she sounded like she was crying.

“What's wrong Chloe?” Beca pried not walking away this time. Instead she walked past the tree and turned her attention to Chloe who was staring at the night sky.

“Why are you here Beca.” Chloe asked this time much quieter, her eyes groping down to her hands as she sniffled.

“Because I'm worried for you.” Beca says uncharacteristically soft, even catching Chloe off guard.

“You don't have to worry for me, you should go back to Jesse.” Chloe tells Beca before walking towards a different direction.

“Here you go with Jesse.”

“Because this is about Jesse! How can he just be able to get so close to you without knowing anything about you. He doesn't even know that you hate movies, or you don't like the dvd store you work for.” Chloe admits going off on a rant. Despite her being drunk, her words were so passionate, holding an intense level of convection.

Then it hit Beca. This whole entire time she had been trying to figure out what she felt for Chloe.

But the answer was right in front of her.

“You think I don't know that? I don't want Jesse. He's a sweet guy, but he isn't you Chloe.” That statement alone made Chloe's face drop.

“Shit this whole entire time I was trying to make sense of our friendship. Reality is, no one could even compare to you. You and the bellas have changed my life so much, a life without you Chloe sounds miserable." Beca confesses her arms resting to her side a bit nervously, while her eyes stare right at the blond in front of her.

This was the closest to Beca telling Chloe that she loved her. And that was way more than anyone could get her to do.

Chloe wasted no time to make her way towards Beca before pulling her into a kiss. Beca let out a sigh before quickly kissing her back, grabbing her waist in the process.

Chloe wrapped her arms around her shoulders and deepened the kiss. It was mixed with the lip gloss Chloe had worn and the taste of the beer she had drunk. Beca could smell the soft perfume that she wore and felt Chloe's body against her.

The two pulled away eventually now meeting each other in the eye. Beca looks at Chloe softly while Chloe stares at her almost in disbelief. Chloe's hand then goes on Beca's cheek caressing it softly before chuckling.

Beca chuckles with Chloe enjoying the soft moment between the two.

“Does that make us girlfriends?” Chloe asks almost innocently and Beca just smiles.

“Yes, that makes us girlfriends.” Chloe jumps in excitement still holding onto Beca.

“Five minutes in the bathroom as girlfriends?” Chloe suggested but Beca chuckled and rolled her eyes in response.

“Youre drunk.”

“It was worth the try.”

After that the two just decided to make their way back to their dorms. This time Beca was staying at Chloes, not as best friends, but as Girlfriends.
