I was reading a book about karma written by my Guru and this explains a lot about ketu.
In my experience of understanding ketu, ketu dominant people are generally anti-social, not cause they are shy, or arrogant. It is an internal push to be away, to avoid contact.
One of the reasons, it is a tamasik planet, you cannot go about your merry way and enjoy your life. Depending on the way it is placed, you could be forced to be away from public, shunned by peers, or you yourself unconsciously or consciously become anti social, It depends on the awareness of the being and the karma they hold.
