Gotta love it when the straights™ dont like it when their fave is headcanoned as bi and use the argument that it isnt mentioned anywhere and so therefore they are very much heterolio. Like do you see your flawed biphobic logic or is it just me?

Okay but consider this:

Confession: I am a non-native speaker and watching the last scene of shadowhunters 1x11 and Simon says something like:

“It doesn't matter now. But there was this other guy. He was big, handsome, full of... Forget it, it's okay. He's okay, you know. I'm over it.”

(before being an asshole about his best friend being heartbroken by the “fact” she loves her brother) I kinda missunderstood that as

“I doesn’t matter now, but there was this other guy (I was in love with)”

And that totally changes the meaning of everything that follows and I was sitting there screaming because of canonically bi!Simon but then I noticed that that was

a) a bit unrealistic after the show pointed out Simon’s love to Clary so much that there was no place for some kind of troublesome relationship with a guy b) too good to be true

So I looked up the transcript and it took my a while to understand because I was just so settled in the idea and

I really need consulation now.
