Any other queer WOC (especially Black women) put off dating women in fear of being perceived as the "man" in the relationship?

Yes I know there's no man, but plenty of straights see it like that, not to mention a lot of lesbian/sapphic rep is (or at least perceived as) masc+fem. Coming up I was often masculinized by peers and adults, so naturally it's an insecurity of mine. Obviously there's nothing wrong with masculine gender expression, but it's not one I'm comfortable with, especially when others impose it upon me. To this day, unless I dress and/or style my hair certain ways, I feel like I'll be perceived as masc or not feminine.
